yep – Bali has become a nightmare. We will stay at the Intercontinental Resort in Jimbaran – that is a quick trip from the airport (once you left the crowded airport area).

Wamos has 1-1-1 seating on DPS-AKL. Like the worst business class cabin ever by Air NZ and Virgin Atlantic 🙂

I have booked NUE-IST-DPS/ stopover / DPS-AKL/ stop-final destination / AKL-SYD / stopover / SYD-IST-NUE for 3080€ – no need to go to OSL 😉

The TK fare allows stopover in Tokyo or Hong Kong or Singapore or Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta or Manila or Bangkok – so no need to go via DPS – DPS just has best availability as TK increased the frequency to two flights per day on a few days per week.

Hi, can I book the first night now and go through the procedure after I have slept it? It says past 24 months. I have never stayed at their hotels. I once did but an airline paid so I guess it does not count. Besides I have no proof.

I have done this as a BER-DXB back to back trip with the aircraft that have the hideously expensive throne seats taking up rows 1 and 2. I don’t think those are worth the extra €399 yet they were sold out! I agree there is no charging, no entertainment. Crews on both legs were superb and, as you say, actively offer drinks, snacks, etc. Sadly the LH lounge at DXB is closed at the time of arrival and I didn’t think to try another. I would do the trip again for the 400 P/QP as it was very efficient time wise and decent value per point.

last year stayed in the cockpit during take off and first 15 minutes of a Brussels-Prague in the jump seat, while my son got to stay in the cockpit during landing in Prague

Very intersting find, thx for sharing.

Just a personal note: I suggest to arrange a hotel in the near of DPS airport, since the entire island is a shadow of its own. Skip at any time in the future, it’s just sad compared to some years ago. A good example, how over-tourism, Insta-fame and bad governmental handling destroys a paradise.

You don’t believe me? Ok, feel free to go. But don’t complain afterwards 😉
