You can currently buy tickets to fly with Air France to Colombo starting at merely €420. You can depart from Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Munich, or even Rome. For €463, you can also depart from Budapest. Luggage, however, is only included for SkyTeam status holders and will otherwise increase the price by roughly €80.
With Air France and KLM, all tickets for travel up to March 2022 can be canceled free of charge. You will first receive a voucher, which can be paid out to your bank account. Regardless of the travel period, rebooking is possible without a rebooking fee, but then the respective price difference applies. You can read the rules again here.

You will always have a layover in Paris. On your outbound journey, the long-haul flight will also have a short stop in Malé. Air France uses a Boeing 787 Dreamliner for its flights to Colombo.

According to the fare rules, tickets are on sale until November 11, 2021 for departures before June 15, 2022. The minimum stay requirement is 4 days (or a Sunday). Furthermore, your stay cannot exceed 3 months. The economy class tickets have to be booked at least 5 days before departure. This fare does not include any checked luggage. Stopovers are not permitted.
