Caribbean Princess: €453 / US$482 P.p. Western- and Eastern Caribbean 7-Night Cruises from Fort Lauderdale

Caribbean Princess

Princess Cruises put a really nice price tag on a Western and an Eastern Caribbean 7-night cruise from Fort Lauderdale. Both start at £399 (~€464) (US$501) per person. Here is an overview of the prices:

Western Caribbean Cruise:

  • Inside cabin: £399 (~€464) (US$501)
  • Outside cabin: £449 (~€522) (US$564)
  • Balcony cabin: £509 (~€592) (US$640)

Eastern Caribbean Cruise:

  • Inside cabin: £399 (~€464) (US$501)
  • Outside cabin: £449 (~€522) (US$564)
  • Balcony cabin: £499 (~€581) (US$627)

The fare includes full-board dining in a main restaurant, buffet restaurant and a few speciality restaurants. Some soft drinks and water are available while dining, but drink packages cost extra. For this cruise, the Princess Premier fare costs £749 (~€871) (US$941) p.p. for the inside cabin, which is a bit too pricey. Although that fare already includes gratuities, which would be US$16 (~€15) x 8 = US$128 (~€120) per person without the package. Of course, you can adjust your tip if you aren’t satisfied with the service.

The Ship

While Caribbean Princess isn’t the most modern ship, it’s definitely among the nicer ones. It entered into service in 2004, but it got refurbished in 2019. It has everything you need: restaurants, pools, bars, cafés, a theatre, shops, a sports park and so on. This is what the staterooms look like:

Of course, there is a sanctuary onboard which provides relaxation only to adults, while children take part in planned onboard activities, depending on their age (supervised by professionals).

Flights

Wherever you come from, we strongly recommend you to spend a night in the Fort Lauderdale area before your ship’s departure time. If you miss embarkation, you will lose the whole trip.
