Etihad has got a very good offer for business class flights to Phuket right now. Departing from Rome and Milan, you can get a flight to Thailand for just €1,009 per person. However, that price is only available if you book for at least two people. Availability is good from May until October.
The entry requirements for Thailand are currently changing frequently. Entry is permitted, but subject to conditions.
If you are unable to travel as planned, you have the following options for departures up until May 2022:
- Cancel and get the fare refunded as a credit towards future Etihad flights
- Rebooking to other dates and/or another route without having to pay a rebooking fee. If the original booking class is available, you shouldn’t have to pay the fare difference either.

Please also note: Currently, every flight with Etihad requires a PCR test – even for transit. If it stays that way, you will need such a test both on the outbound and inbound trip, even if your home country does not require one.

According to the fare rules, the price will remain available until February 14, 2022 for travel between May and October. The minimum stay requirement is 3 days, and you can stay for a maximum of 3 months.

Information & Tips for Phuket
Phuket is a southern province and also the largest island of Thailand in Southeast Asian. While Bangkok is more of a tourist destination, Phuket offers a lot of recreational options on the beach and is located in the Indian Ocean rather than the Gulf of Thailand.
Although Phuket is not always as easy to reach as Bangkok and it will often take an additional layover to get there, you can combine your beach holiday with a city trip to Bangkok. You can first book your flights to Bangkok and then separate (cheap!) flights from Bangkok to Phuket if you really can’t find a good deal from Europe.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to travel is from November to February. During this time it is dry and comparatively cool but of course still ideal for a beach holiday. The rainy season runs from mid-May to October.
From/to the airport
From the airport to different cities/resorts on the island, it is best to take a taxi (or Uber). Bus connections are cheaper but also much slower.
