Asia, South America & Africa: Starting at €2,202 in FIRST CLASS from Stockholm with Lufthansa/Swiss

Swiss 777 First Class

Star Alliance members Swiss & Lufthansa offer a great first class sale from Stockholm. Starting at €2,202, you can purchase a roundtrip with two inner European business and two long haul first class flights with stops in Zurich, Frankfurt or Munich. Because first class can cost more than €10,000, this is an outstanding offer.

Swiss & Lufthansa first class amenities include perks like a dedicated terminal in Frankfurt and Zurich, a personal limousine service from the terminal to your aircraft and – of course – one of the most luxurious board & meal services that European airlines have to offer. Search & Book

According to fare rules. this offer is valid until October 13, 2019 for flights leaving Stockholm before May 31, 2020. A minimum stay of at least six days or one night from saturday to sunday applies. These fares show scattered availabilty throughout the travel period.

We recommend to search Google Flights to find out on which dates fares are lowest (instructions). We strongly recommend taking these dates to lufthansa.com or swiss.com to buy your tickets there.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

Long haul tickets are issued in booking class A while short haul tickets are booking class J. As first class tickets should, this booking class gives you a huge bonus on top of your travel distance. For example, Aegean Miles+Bonus credits 300% of your travel distance. A Swiss flight from Stockholm to Sao Paulo will be credited like this:

Lufthansa First Class

Lufthansa has its own terminal for First Class passengers! This and the food in Lufthansa’s First Class are widely considered to be among the best. The First Class terminal has its own airport security control, free food, hotel-like rooms with bed and bathtub, and so on. You get driven to the plane in a limousine.

The seat can be turned into a 210 cm long bed (roughly 80 cm wide) and has all the usual comforts, such as power sockets, inflight entertainment, WIFI, and so on.

  1. webber says:

how to possible get 40k miles with miles more? since book with Lufthansa group is only 4 miles per Euro

    • Dennis Schäfer says:

Yes, award miles are calculated revenue-based. Status miles however are calculated based on booking classes.

Small workaround: Try to book these fares on united.com. If you can find the fares through their search then award mile will be equal to the status miles.
