On the MSC Lirica, you can embark on a 12-day Mediterranean cruise from Genoa at the end of the year and pay €609 per person in an inside cabin. Full board and tips are included. The outside cabin is available starting at €729 per person. You have to organize your arrival and departure yourself. More on that below.
It is best to read the current MSC Cruises regulations regarding Covid on the ship in advance. Among other things, you must wear mouth and nose protection in all public areas if you are not seated. You must have proof that you have been vaccinated or have recovered. Individual shore leave is possible again but depends on the regulations of the ports.
Cruises booked until mid-July can be changed flexibly, but a fare difference may apply.
You get full board service with breakfast, lunch and dinner (some speciality restaurants are excluded) as well as cold and hot water, coffee, tea and milk with meals. All cabins have double beds, which can also be converted to single beds if required.

The Ship
The MSC Lirica was put into service in 2003 and is 275 meters long and 32 meters wide. The ship can go up to 21 knots fast. There are several outdoor pools, a jogging course, theatre, spa, casino, disco, and various bars and restaurants. A total of up to 2,000 guests can board the ship.
Flights
Milan, Turin, and Nice are the main destinations for departures from Genoa. One-way tickets are often booked at short notice for around €10-20.
Of course, it all depends a bit on how much time you want to spend in the area beforehand and when you disembark the ship. In any case, we recommend that you take a flight that arrives in Genoa early – in the event of a lost connection, you’ll have lost the cruise.
