Oneworld member Qatar Airways is currently selling flights from Amsterdam to Denpasar on Bali for €609. Flying with Qatar comes with a few perks, such as a 25 kg baggage allowance. Unfortunately, one or two nights in Doha are usually required to get the cheapest fare. You can book your hotel on your own or use the Qatar Stopover programme that raises the price to €675 – but includes a 4-star hotel.

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Qatar Airways with your selected flight dates. You can also check what OTAs have to offer, although they sell these tickets up to €20 cheaper.

You would first fly roughly 6 hours to Doha in a Boeing 777. From there, another Boeing 777 or an Airbus A350 will take about 9 hours to get you to Bali. On both planes, you’ll have on-demand video screens, in-seat power sockets and USB ports to charge your devices.

This deal expires on September 11, 2023. You can fly from November onward, except during the Christmas holidays. The cheapest flights are not available on Fridays and Saturdays. Furthermore, you must stay at least 5 days in Bali before flying back, and no longer than 2 months.

Our calendar displays all available dates for trips of up to four weeks. For longer trips, check out Google Flights‘ calendar. Either way, you should book these flights directly on Qatar’s website.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

The tickets are issued in booking class O, meaning that you should get:

  • 7,936 Avios + 72 Qpoints on Qatar Privilege Club
  • 3,968 Avios + 80 Tier Points on British Airways Executive Club
  • 3,968 Avios + 360 Elite Points on Iberia Plus

Information & Tips for Bali

Bali is probably the most popular holiday island in Indonesia. While the metropolises of the country are more interesting for tourists that like the hustle and bustle, Bali offers a lot of recreation options with beaches and the rainforest.

Bali is one of the most expensive destinations in Asia when it comes to airfares from Europe. Here you have to be prepared to pay €400 – €600 for a return flight. Everything under €500 is an excellent price for Bali.

The Best Time to Visit

From May to October Bali is under the influence of the monsoon. It brings hot and dry air and a lot of rain. Therefore, the dry season is the best travel time for Bali. Those who come to the island between May and October can look forward to good holiday weather without inconveniences.
