Qatar Airways is currently gifting 5,000 Avios to those that join the Privilege Club before December 20, 2022 and fly once before March 31, 2023. Those who currently have an account can get 5,000 Avios for booking and flying before December 20, 2022, and another 2,000 for doing the same on their mobile app.
The bonuses are particularly interesting because you can now transfer Avios 1:1 between the Qatar Privilege Club and the BA Executive Club, i.e. you could transfer the 5,000 / 7,000 Avios directly to British Airways.
The 5,000 (or 7,000) Avios will sadly not be enough for a long-haul flight. You can get a one-way economy-class flight between Doha and Muscat for 7,000 miles + taxes & fees. For a one-way flight between Central Europe and Doha, you’ll need at least 29,000 Avios. In business class, it’s even 58,000 Avios.
You can, however, transfer Membership Rewards Points to the Privilege Club at a 5:4 ratio. Additionally, Qatar Airways is currently waiving the booking fee, meaning that you’ll be paying much less.
One of the best options, however, is to transfer the Avios to the Executive Club.
5,000 Avios for new members
You need to register until December 20, 2022 using the link above or by entering the enrollment code PCBOOK22 when signing up. However, you would need to fly once with Qatar Airways before March 21, 2023.
Conditions

- Members who did not quote any of the applicable promo codes at the time of enrolment will not receive the bonus Avios.

5,000 + 2,000 Avios for current members
Those who already registered to Privilege Club before September 24, but have not yet booked a Qatar Airways trip for this year should not be sad either. You can get 7,000 extra Avios if you book a trip for a date before December 20, 2022. If you don’t wish to book through a mobile app, you can still get 5,000 Avios for flying before December 20, 2022, if you book until December 15. The catch is that all flights should be marketed and operated by Qatar Airways.
