Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas will sail from Barcelona, Spain to Bridgetown, Barbados after its Mediterranean mission in the summer. And you can get onboard for only €490 in an inside room and €559 in a room with a window to the Ocean. The ship will make stops in Cannes, France, Malaga, Spain and Funchal, Madeira.
The fares include taxes and fees, but do not include the de facto compulsory gratuities. These add additional US$14 (~€14) a night (US$174 (~€163) total) per person. Our fares are according to two persons sharing a room. You can set the persons on the booking site.
Royal Caribbean currently requires all guests to be vaccinated (up to 270 days before the cruise) and tested (two days before departure). Although, the cruise is in November and things may change until then.
Onboard, you will get full-board catering which includes a traditional a-la-carte dinner and a buffet restaurant. The latter stays open almost all day. This is where you can get drinks during your meals. Drink packages start at USD 12,99. If you want to browse the web, you can do it for an additional USD 128,8.

The cruise starts in Barcelona and stops three times before reaching Bridgetown, which includes eight days at sea.

- November 11: Malaga, Spain (08:00-18:00)
- November 12: Day at sea
- November 13: Funchal (Madeira), Portugal (08:00-18:00)

- November 20: Bridgetown, Barbados (07:00)
The Ship
The Rhapsody of the Seas by Royal Caribbean has 1,217 cabins, spread out over 11 passenger decks. Besides 8 bars, the ship also offers 8 restaurants, of which three are included in this price – the main restaurant, a buffet restaurant, and the “Park Café”. You can do other things besides eating, though, such as aerobics or mini-golf, or attend cooking classes, dance lessons, theme evenings, a language course, live music, or use one of their game machines. Or you can simply relax in one of the six whirlpools.
Coming back from Barbados
You can use the Travel-Dealz flight search to find a suitable flight. An interesting option could be an island-hopping itinerary with Caribbean Airlines to New York for €242 and PLAY or Norse from there.

@Ditmar – The question asked about “departing” ie., leaving, not embarking, so your response does not answer the qustion being asked.
@babyg – probably, since it is a one-way trip, but that is a very expensive way of going from Barcelona to Funchal with a stop at Cannes in between. Almost €1500 (2 people) for a 4 day trip with 2 stops. Would be a LOT cheaper just to fly to the two cities in order using EasyJet, Ryanair, or one of the other cheap EU airlines.
