Star Alliance carrier Singapore Airlines keeps issuing surprisingly good fares for travel to Thailand, in both economy and business class. The airline currently sells premium tickets for travel between Paris and Phuket for as little as €1,441 – a fare that includes various amenities. A change of planes in Singapore is necessary both ways, but you will enjoy lounge access at the airport.
Singapore Airlines offers no extraordinary cancellation policies, except that your first rebooking is free of charge. You’d still need to pay the fare difference, though.

Qatar Airways offers flights between the two airports for €1,505 in their business class. While the travel time is about 1 1/2 hours shorter, Qatar Airways’ offer does not include lounge access.
Decent flight times between Paris and Thailand. Especially the long overnight inbound flight is perfect to enjoy Singapore Airlines’ lie flat seats.
If you fly in Singapore Airlines’ new business class, like Travel-Dealz founder Johannes, you’ll get a very convincing product, but even the older seats still offer high comfort. A notable aspect (especially with the older seats) is the width – the seats are extremely wide. Singapore Airlines’ main upside, however, is the service. The so-called Singapore Girls are really very friendly and attentive. The in-flight entertainment, however, is mediocre.
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, tickets at the lowest price are on sale until January 17, 2022. While the travel period ends on June 30, 2022, you can also find flights for less than €1,500 in September and October 2022. A minimum stay of seven days applies to get the cheap tickets.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.
This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Most EU citizens do not need a visa for stays up to a length of 30 days. The entry permit can be extended by another 30 days before expiration by local immigration authorities.
