Singapore Airlines One-Way Premium Economy Flights from Thailand to the US Starting at €623 (Including the World’s Longest Flights) *LAST CHANCE*

Singapore Airlines Premium Economy Seat

Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines offers interesting one-way fares from Phuket and Bangkok in Thailand to three US destinations. Some flights include the World’s first and second-longest flights to New York JFK and EWR airports. Prices start at THB 22,300 (~€565) and include two pieces of 23 kg luggage.

While mixed cabin flights on the return version of this route appear quite frequently and may be a better value for many, that route isn’t that practical for most Europeans. This one-way fare could be a great way to cross the Pacific Ocean on a Round the World trip.

Here are the possible routes:

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price. It will forward you to Singapore Airlines with your preselected flight dates. Please note that flights to Newark (EWR) have no overnight layovers, while “New York JFK” are available only with SIN overnight stay.

Singapore Airlines offers cheap one-way premium economy fares on the World’s two longest flights from Thailand to the US.

The World’s two longest flights differ by only 3 miles with JFK coming out as victorious. However, the title comes with extra challenges: you’d usually have to spend a night in Singapore since the flight departs in the morning.

Singapore Airlines operates an Airbus A350-900ULR on these flights. The abbreviation ULR is short for Ultra Long Range. These planes were specifically designed to fly routes like this and feature only business class and premium economy seats – because of this, this fare is the lowest price you might get.

Thanks to newest technology, the Airbus A350 keeps cabin airflow fresher and more humid than common planes. It features a 2-4-2 seating in premium economy with a seat pitch of 95 cm. You can read a comprehensive review of this flight here. A 1-2-1 seating awaits you in business class, along other services, such as dining on demand.

On the feeder flights, you would sit in economy class. You can end up on many different aircraft types including the Boeing B787-10, B737 MAX, A350 or even Scoot’s Dreamliner.

Search & Book

The fare expires on September 6, 2022. You can travel from January to March for the cheapest fares. Some flights are available in 2022 for a bit more money.

You can use our availability calendars above that show you the cheapest fares and flights under 30 hours (except New York JFK). That will redirect you to Singapore Airlines’ website, where you can book your flights. OTAs don’t offer any benefits, even the Travel-Dealz flight search would redirect you to SQ. Google Flights shows the wrong prices.

From the airport to the city

New York City is served by three commercial airports: John F. Kennedy Intl. Airport in Queens (probably the most famous), Newark Intl. John F. Kennedy Intl. Airport

Public transport: From Manhattan by subway or LIRR to Jamaica (price varies from $2.75 – $10.00), continue with AirTrain to JFK ($8). Travel time 45 – 60 minutes.

Information & Tips for USA

The USA offers many sights, natural wonders and cultural significance. Thanks to numerous airlines offering flights across the Atlantic, it is always pretty inexpensive to get there. Alternatively, you can also cross the Atlantic by boat.

Immigration, ESTA & Visa Requirements

The USA has one of the strictest entry regulations in the world. Most EU citizens, among others, are lucky to be able to participate in the so-called Visa Waiver Program. If you get an electronic entry permit (ESTA)  for approximately €20, you don’t need a visa for entry.

The Best Time to Visit

Due to its sheer size, the perfect time to visit the USA varies greatly from region to region. In winter, Florida is very popular due to the mild temperatures. In the summer the West and East Coasts are flooded by tourists which drives up the prices for hotels and flights and during the Indian Summer in late autumn New England is a very popular destination. The hurricane season between July and September can be dangerous in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida and the southern states are regularly struck by these tropical storms. Blizzards occur from the East Coast to the Midwest during the winter months and regularly put air traffic and public life on hold.

Currency

The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
