From Paris, Singapore Airlines would first fly you to its hub, usually with an Airbus A350. The Singapore – Jakarta flight then usually takes place in a Boeing 777.

This fare can be booked for departures between October 31 and June 29. The fare will probably expire on September 22, 2022, but the number of available dates is likely to strongly decrease until then. The minimum stay requirement is 7 days. Furthermore, your stay cannot exceed 12 months. The tickets can’t be cancelled and also can’t be rebooked.

Our calendar above shows all available dates for trips of 7-28 days in 2023. For shorter or longer trips, check out Google Flights‘ calendar. While some sites sell these flights a couple of euros cheaper, we recommend booking on Singapore Airlines’ website.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

The tickets are issued in booking class K, meaning that you’ll get:

  • 7,212 Points on SAS EuroBonus
  • 7,212 Miles on Singapore KrisFlyer
  • 3,832 Award Miles + 160 Points on Miles&More

Information & Tips for Jakarta

Jakarta is both the largest and the capital of Indonesia and is located in the north-west of the island of Java. The city is not only the financial, economic and cultural centre of Indonesia, but also the most populous city in Southeast Asia!

The Best Time to Visit

Not even dry season is completely dry on Java, but the temperatures and humidity from May to October are the most pleasant. Occasionally it can still be stormy.

From the airport to the city

A taxi from the airport to the city costs about €5-7 depending on the provider and the exact route. Alternatively, there are also cheaper shuttle buses, but some of them have a much longer journey time.
