Singapore Airlines A350URL Premium Economy

Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines sells cheap premium economy tickets to four in South East Asia such as Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Bangkok, Manila or Jakarta for as little as US$967 (~€909). All tickets include a ride on the world’s longest non-stop service between New York and Singapore before continuing in Singapore Airlines’ or Scoot’s economy to your final destination.

To get these flights under $1000, please note that although this fare has no minimum stay, it requires your outbound trip to occur before May 15, 2024. Your return trip may depart between May 23 and June 30, 2024. However, we have found excellent availability throughout the year for approximately $1350-$1450, which is still a fantastic price.

You can reach the following destinations for less than $1,010:

Our calendar below will show you all available dates for trips of up to 28 days. The best way to book your flights is to select your dates and then input them into the search box on Singapore Airlines’ website. Unfortunately, we cannot directly forward you to their search. Sometimes, you can access their site via Skyscanner or Momondo. We do not recommend booking these flights through OTAs.

Singapore Airlines operates an Airbus A350-900ULR on flights between New York and Singapore. The abbreviation ULR is short for Ultra Long Range. These planes were specifically designed to fly routes like this and feature only business class and premium economy seats – because of this, this fare is the lowest price you might get. Thanks to the newest technology, the Airbus A350 keeps cabin airflow fresher and more humid than common planes. It features a 2-4-2 seating in the premium economy section.

Our editor, Ditmar recently flew between New York and Singapore and you can find his review here.

Flights within Asia are economy services, operated by Singapore Airlines or their low-cost subsidiary, Scoot. You can find many different aircraft types on that route.

This fare has no expiration date and can be withdrawn at any time. There is also no minimum stay. Availability is depending on the travel period. The three digit prices only show up for the following flight dates:

  • Outbound: Before May 15, 2024
  • Inbound: Between May 23, 2024 and June 30, 2024.

Open jaws itineraries are possible with this deal. If you are considering an adventure in Indonesia, we found a combination for $995, arriving to Bali and exiting from Jakarta. There are more possible combinations if you’d like to check on your own.

You can use our calendar above that will show you availabilities. Then your best bet is to go to Singapore Airlines’ website and enter your route and dates into their booking form. Unfortunately, we cannot forward you to their website now and Momondo or Skyscanner don’t show the cheapest opportunities. In this case, we don’t recommend booking through online travel agencies (OTAs). You can also search more specifically on Google Flights (instructions) for example by setting filters. You can then use our Go2 browser extension to book your flights.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.
