Singapore: £2,457/€2,800 FIRST CLASS SUITES from London in Late 2021

hdr

The suites from Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines are clearly among the best first class products worldwide. You can currently get the roundtrip from London via Zurich to Singapore for £2,457 (~€2,874). The flights are scheduled to be with the First Class Suites on SQ’s Airbus A380. Routings with Lufthansa and Swiss are also possible. You can find available dates for departures in November and December 2021.

You find suiting flight dates with our availability calendar for trips up to 30 days. The calendar exclusively displays dates on which you can get the Singapore Airlines flight at the lowest price. After choosing an out- and inbound flight, it will forward you to swiss.com, where these tickets are on sale.

You can find departures from London-Heathrow and London City airport. Sometimes departing and arrival airports in London alternate. All European flights are Swiss business class flights. The long haul segments are code share flights with Swiss flight numbers (LX 9000/9001), but operated by Singapore Airlines.

Warning

We expect further shakeups in the airline industry over the following months. Some services might be cancelled, aircraft changed or downgraded. The schedule we describe may very well change.

Search & Book

According to the fare rules, this deal is available until February 15, 2021, however it may sell out or be withdrawn earlier. It applies to flights with at minimum stay of six days or at least one night from Saturday to Sunday. You must leave Europe on December 31, 2021, or earlier to get the cheap tickets. The fare shows scattered availability, it gets better when you are willing to spend at least one leg in Lufthansa or Swiss First Class.

You can use our availability calendar above or Google Flights to find suiting flight dates. To sort out Swiss and Lufthansa flights, set your desired arrival time in Singapore to 6:00. This makes sure only flights operated by Singapore Airlines are displayed. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets on swiss.com.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Information & Tips for Singapore

The city-state of Singapore is a financial metropolis in Southeast Asia. Especially its geographical location is responsible for its rise. Singapore is one of the largest air traffic hubs in Asia and therefore very well connected to the rest of the world. Various airlines offer good deals to Singapore.

Best Time to Visit

The climate is best suited for visits in autumn and spring. Summers are sweltering and the rainy season starts in November and lasts until January. You have to be prepared for high temperatures and humidity all year round.

Entry & Visa

Most European citizens can enter Singapore without a visa and with a passport only. A residence permit for 90 days will be issued upon arrival.

Singapore Changi Airport is connected to the city center by metro. A ride to City Hall takes about 40 minutes and costs S$ 2,30€. Taking a taxi will cost about S$ 20-30.

    Servus,
