This is one of the cheapest options we found: From Bordeaux to Tokyo via Zurich

From France, you would either fly Lufthansa to one of its hubs (Munich and Frankfurt), or to Brussels with Brussels Airlines. From Brussels, you would have to continue your trip with ANA. If you flew to Munich/Frankfurt, you can often choose between flying the long-haul trip with Lufthansa or with ANA. Sometimes you can also fly SWISS via Zurich. If you’re flying to one of the smaller cities in Japan, the Japanese domestic flight would always be operated by ANA.

All flights include a piece of luggage, as well as drinks and meals/snacks.

This deal expires on February 14, 2020, but we don’t recommend waiting for that long. Your trip has to be at least 6 days long, and may not exceed 3 months. It also has to take place between January 16 and June 30th as well as September 1st and December 15th, 2020 (please note that not all dates are available during that timespan).

To find the best dates between your preferred point of departure and Japanese destination, you should use Google Flights as it is by far the easiest way to do so. Once you’ve found the perfect flight, you should book the flight over our Travel-Dealz flight search, as the airlines charge far higher prices.

Information & Tips for Japan

Japan, the ‘land of the rising sun’, is located in the east of Asia and is one of the most popular travel destinations on the continent. Big cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto convince urban fans while ski fans get their money’s worth in Hokkaido and Tohoku.
Flights to Japan are usually a little more expensive than comparable offers to other destinations in Asia, but there are exceptions, and you can sometimes find bargains.

Best travel time

Since the country consists of many climatic zones it is hard to name a perfect time for travelling to Japan. However, summer should usually be avoided, as June is dominated by the rainy season and July and August offer sweltering temperatures with high humidity.

Visa

Most European citizens do not need a visa to enter Japan for a stay of up to 180 days if they do not want to work, study or train. Travelers that arrive under these conditions without a visa will be granted a residence permit as a “Temporary Visitor” for an initial period of 90 days upon entering the country at the airport.
