Indonesia: Star Alliance Flights Starting at €430 From 4 Countries (With Luggage)

Star Alliance members SWISS, Singapore Airlines, and Lufthansa have teamed up to offer some cheap fares to Jakarta and Medan, Indonesia. Prices start at merely €430 for flights from Luxembourg. You can also fly from Paris, Zurich, or Rome for less than €500. These prices all include luggage!


At Lufthansa, the cheapest fare can still be rebooked without a rebooking fee. The travel route can also be changed, but the price difference always has to be paid.

To Jakarta:

To Medan:

Usually, you’ll first fly to Zurich, from where SWISS will fly you to Singapore. Singapore Airlines will then get you to Indonesia. SWISS uses a Boeing 777 for its flights to Singapore.

Search & Book

According to the fare rules, tickets are on sale for flights without a specific travel period. The fare has no expiration date and can thus be withdrawn anytime. The minimum stay requirement is 5 days (or a Sunday). Furthermore, your stay cannot exceed 12 months.

Google Flights displays all available dates. There really seems to be high availability all year long. You can easily book these flights on Lufthansa’s website.
