You would fly Turkish Airlines’ narrowbodies for the short flights. Luckily, they don’t follow their European competition’s Eurobusiness “product”, but have 2-2 recliner seats in business class. Then, you would fly their Boeing 777s, which unfortunately still have the 2-3-2 configuration. While people have mixed reviews about the soft product, the food itself is undoubtedly outstanding.

Turkish Airlines Business Class

Turkish Airlines’ Business Class product receives a lot of praise, especially for their outstanding catering that features on-board chefs on long haul routes. Their seats are comfortable and fully reclineable to a lie flat position.

The main point of criticism is their 2-3-2 seating pattern aboard their Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which denies direct aisle access and has a middle seat. These reviews describe Turkish Airlines’ business class as fantastic and highly underrated:

Lufthansa Group

Our availability calendar highlights all Lufthansa Group flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Lufthansa with your selected flight dates.

Lufthansa operates their Airbus A340 on their Hong Kong routes, Swiss sends a Boeing 777-300ER from Zurich. With Lufthansa, you can expect a 2-2-2 configuration, while SWISS’ seat pattern alternates between 1-2-2 and 2-2-1 per row.

Many of our readers may have already experienced Lufthansa’s business class. Generally, Travel-Dealz writers and readers are not big fans of the Lufthansa business class, even though it is definitely not bad. One reason for that is that the service is too inconsistent: From extremely friendly and quick to unfriendly and slow – everything is possible with Lufthansa, even in business class.

Lufthansa Business Class Sitz A340

With SWISS, it very much depends on the specific seat, as SWISS has a throne seat in every row. While the double seats share a platform in the middle, the throne seat has its own platform on each side, which you won’t have to share with anyone. Those seats thus offer privacy and comfort to an extent that the other seats cannot compete with. Therefore, you may be disappointed if you don’t get one of the throne seats, even if the other seats obviously also have a very high standard.

The fare rules do not state how long this fare will remain valid. The Lufthansa Group has an 8-night minimum stay, while Turkish has no such restrictions. Both of them have a maximum stay of 12 months.

You can use our calendar above that will show you availabilities. Once you selected your dates, it will forward you to either Turkish Airlines’ or Lufthansa’s website or to the Travel-Dealz Flight Search with your preselected flight dates. While OTAs don’t offer savings for Lufthansa, they undercut Turkish’s prices by €60. You can also search more specifically on Google Flights (instructions) for example by setting filters.
