Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri: 50 m² Room incl. Breakfast, $100 Credit & Free Upgrade for €314 in Early 2023

Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri

The eternal city of Rome is unique among the capitals of Western nations. While you can expect large boulevards and towering glass buildings in almost any other city; Rome is full of small-scale buildings, tiny romantic alleys and numerous historical sites. If you want to spend your time in this marvellous city like the emperors of ancient times, the Waldorf Astoria Cavalieri seems to be a great choice.

The cheapest, non-refundable rate the hotel offers is €254. But if you book via ASMALLWORLD, you don’t only get breakfast – but also an early check-in, late check-out, and a hotel credit of US$100 (~€94) per stay for a surcharge of only €60. A free upgrade is included in the price, as well. Since the smallest rooms are 50 m² large, you are basically staying in a suite, even though the hotel does not brand it like that.

Info

While the ASMALLWORLD rate is fantastic for most people, some of its benefits (breakfast, upgrade) are already included for Hilton Honors Gold & Diamond members. In that case, you may want to book directly on Hilton’s website for €247.

The cheapest price is available on many dates until early February 2023. You can try out a few dates using our search form below, which will redirect you to ASMALLWORLD. If you don’t have one already, you’ll need to create an account, but don’t worry, it’s completely free, and the site can be fully trusted – we’ve tested it ourselves for our own private bookings. Hilton Gold and Diamond members may want to book the cheaper rate on Hilton’s website, as they’ll get most of the benefits anyway.

A bevy of bonuses compared to the cheapest rate.

You will also receive a room upgrade to a higher, non-suite category. Probably, from a king room, they’ll upgrade you to an imperial room. Both aren’t much different, but the imperial room provides you with Spa access and is usually more than €100 more expensive per night.

Info

Hilton Honors members may rejoice: By booking through ASMALLWORLD, you’ll earn double Hilton Honors points!

Rome suffers surprisingly cold winters, with temperatures usually ranging between 3 and 12 °C in February. In the summer, it can get scorching hot, with temperatures of more than 30 °C becoming fairly regular.

The Hotel

The Waldorf Astoria Cavalieri is located outside the city’s historical centre, almost too long to walk to the most famous sights like St. Peter’s, the Colosseum or Forum Romanum, which are 4 km or more away. Given the luxury of the property and its amenities, you most likely want to spend as much time at the hotel as possible anyway.

Aside from truly marvellous and regal optics, the hotel has so much more to offer than large rooms. A large pool and spa area want to be explored, just like two restaurants, where you can put your $100 to good use. One of them, La Pergola, has been awarded three Michelin stars, one of only 142 in the world (out of millions of restaurants around the globe).

Price Check

This is a very good deal, as ASMALLWORLD is charging €60 more, but giving you many additional benefits like early check-in, late check-out, daily breakfast and a room upgrade, as well as double Hilton Honors points. The breakfast alone already costs €50. The upgrade is worth another €70, and the double points can also be priced at min. another €20.

Other exclusive five-star chain hotels like Marriott’s Westin Excelsior (€326) charge a similar rate for non-refundable stays during the Winter. While most other hotels in the price category are not as remote as the Cavalieri, these rates don’t include breakfast and the rooms are significantly smaller.

If you are trying to get rooms during the main season (April through June), you can still get the ASMALLWORLD benefits, but room prices quickly rise from €500 in April to more than €700 in May. Even during the scorching hot Roman summers, prices are constantly north of €600.
