Offers to French Guiana

French Guiana

French Guyana is a French overseas department located on the northeast coast of South America, mainly covered by tropical rainforest. Above the colourful Creole houses and street markets of the capital Cayenne, the ruins of the 17th century Fort Cépérou are enthroned. Shops and cafés are lined up around the palm-planted main square Place des Palmistes. There are several beaches on the Atlantic coast in the suburb of Rémire-Montjoly.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit French Guyana is from mid-August to mid-November, and in particular the months of September and October, which are the least rainy and the sunniest, especially on the eastern part of the country.

Entry & Visa

French Guiana is an official part of France and therefore as part of the EU. Consequently, the currency used is Euros. This means that there is no need to exchange money and entry is possible for EU citizens without a visa.
