You are tired of the store-brand mediocrity reeking from our Saturday morning column, deals that did not make it? Instead, you want to indulge in the excellency of our finest offers? My friend, you have come to the right place. In this post, we carefully filet the best parts of last week’s most delicious offers and present them to you in the form of the tastiest Carpaccio any travel blog has to offer.

Today, we proudly present our best dealz since November 2, 2025:

The Show Deal button leads you directly to the offer in question. Click on the embedded link below to see our article about it, where we give comprehensive information about the travel period, availability and possible restrictions.

United Island Hopper for €250 (With Luggage)

You can currently buy United Airlines one-way tickets from Hawaii to Japan for just €250 – a fare that includes a checked bag of 23kg. While that offer is decent by itself, it is possible to route the trip via Guam and enjoy a stopover on the island. But it gets even better: Between Hawaii and Guam, you can choose between the direct flight – or hop on board of United’s island hopper and stop at four different islands in-between.

Why it’s awesome: The United Island Hopper easily made our collection of bucket list flight experiences: A Boeing 737 that stops on most islands between Hawaii and Guam, two rather remote islands themselves. Not only is it usually much more expensive – the price even includes an onward flight to one of three Japanese cities. A truly remarkable offer.

€1,600 Etihad Business Class to South East Asia

Etihad Airways surprised with not only one, but two broad business class sales to Southeast Asia this week. While Monday’s sale to five Thai airports was gone rather quickly (though some connections are still available), Thursday’s deal to Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore is still alive and kicking. Most connections are available for roughly €1,900, but prices drop below €1,600 for select departures from Dublin

Why it’s awesome: Etihad’s business class fares have been a favourite of our reader base, and we can confirm that the airlines offers a quality product. So whenever tickets to East Asia or South East Asia dip below €2,000 for a round-trip, we don’t hesitate to share the offer.

Where to find the Cheapest Marriott Hotels

We have compiled a list of the cheapest Marriott hotels worldwide – for both mainline hotels and sub-brands. Prices go down to €22. But sadly, most of them are nowhere near major cities or airports.

Why it’s awesome: Our hotel lists are generally well received. Especially at the end of the year, many people are looking for cheap nights at specific hotel chains to bump up their status night counter in order to enjoy their current benefits for another month. Because of that, it is always good to know where you can find the cheapest possible offers – and we’re talking €55/night for a full-fledged Marriott cheap.

Compilation of Cheap One-Way Offers from Asia

In this compilation, we had a look at cheap one-way flights from nine cities in East and Southeast Asia to Europe. The cheapest starts at only €111, and we have found many connections for less than €300. The range of airlines involved is impressive, from LCCs like Norse to household names like Eithad, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines.

Why it’s awesome: Asia in general – and China in particular – is a common destination for cheap award flights. But after enjoying a premium cabin on your way to fried rice, hearty soups and fruity deserts, you might need a ticket back. Usually, one-way flights are rather expensive, usually costing 70%-80% the price of a roundtrip – and searching for cheaper offers can be tedious. So this compilation will surely save you both time and money.

Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe: €395/Night with Breakfast & Extras (min. 3 Nights) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/sofitel-paris-arc-de-triomphe/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/sofitel-paris-arc-de-triomphe/#respond Sun, 09 Nov 2025 13:40:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=101087

Paris hotel prices are usually quite extreme. Mid-scale hotels often charge over €200 per night, and luxury hotels mostly charge prices that are close to 4-digits. If you want something in between, this LuxuryEscapes deal for the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe may be just right. Using our promo code dealz8, you’d only be paying €395 per night, including daily breakfast and a couple of drinks at the bar, staying in a very good location by the Champs-Élysées. The price is available until March, in April (slightly more expensive), July, August, and then again between October and December.

Info

You don’t necessarily need to decide on specific dates right away. LuxuryEscapes allows you to lock in the price and flexibly redeem the voucher until December 1, 2026, travelling by December 31, 2026. Click on Buy now, choose dates later under the large Check availability button.

You will be staying in a Superior Room (which is simply their smallest room, despite sounding fancy), measuring 20 m2 and offering a queen bed and amenities such as a TV and Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served daily in the main restaurant between 6:30 and 10:00. You’ll also receive a complimentary cocktail per adult and a bottle of wine, as well as €25 to spend at the hotel.

LuxuryEscapes Cancellation Policy

LuxuryEscapes offers a rather complicated cancellation policy. It basically comes in three steps:

  • Until 7 days after booking: You get a full refund in your original payment form. This is the last chance to get your money back.
  • over 46 days before your stay: You can get a full refund in form of a LuxuryEscapes credit. You won’t get your money back, but can use it to book a different hotel on LuxuryEscapes.
  • Less than 45 days before you stay: You won’t get a refund in any form if you cancel or no-show.

The Hotel

Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe is a modern, upscale option near the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées, with a focus on quiet, comfortable rooms despite being close to major sights. The hotel offers a reliable standard for Paris in this segment, including a proper full-service setup, a good breakfast offering, and solid bathrooms with good water pressure. It’s a place people choose when they want something polished and well-run in this area, without going into ultra-luxury territory or ending up in a very old-style Paris hotel.

Previous guests have left very good reviews of the hotel (e.g. 4.6/5 on Google, or 4.3/5 on Tripadvisor with over 1,500 reviews), many praising the top-notch service, the great location, and the welcoming lobby area, with no recurring complaints showing up.

By loading the map, you agree to Google’s privacy policy. Load Map Save selection & always load Google Maps

The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the Arc de Triomphe and the top end of the Champs-Élysées, which makes it convenient for guests who want to be in a central tourist area without being right in the busiest parts. You have easy access to multiple metro lines from Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, so getting across the city is straightforward, and there are plenty of shops and major sights within short walking distance. This is the kind of base that works well for short city stays where people want things simple and close.

Price Check

While LuxuryEscapes charges a fixed price of €395/night (if you use our dealz8 coupon), you’d usually pay far more if you book via Accor. In December, for instance, the same room with breakfast would cost at least €525 per night, meaning that you’re saving 25% by booking through LuxuryEscapes. In January, February, and August (Parisian off-season), the savings are a bit lower.

The cruise starts and ends in Ushuaia. At the moment, you can secure the cheapest suite on this itinerary for €16,375 per person. Further categories are available for an additional charge (see below). Included, besides the cruise itself, is a pre-night in Buenos Aires as well as domestic flights from the Argentine capital to Ushuaia and back. Passenger capacity is limited to a maximum of 200 to ensure the best possible experience.

Tip

  • Daily entertainment program

The Route

Your journey begins in Buenos Aires, where you’ll spend a pre-night before boarding the Scenic Eclipse II. This stay takes place in a 5-star hotel, either the Alvear Palace or the Sofitel. The allocation is done by the cruise line. After check-in, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the huge metropolis, also known as the Paris of South America.

The next day, you fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia. The southernmost city in the world is the starting point of your expedition cruise. On the first sea day, the ship sails through the famous Drake Passage, which connects South America with Antarctica.

On December 25, the Scenic Eclipse II reaches Antarctica. The region is a paradise for bird watchers, with over 40 species. From the open decks or from your private balcony, look out for wandering albatrosses, which have the largest wingspan of any flying bird, as well as petrels and many other species.

Portal Point, a former British refuge hut, and Deception Island may also be stops during your Antarctica journey. Situated in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands, it is one of the few places in the world where ships can sail directly into the submerged caldera of an active volcano. About 12 million penguins of various species live in Antarctica, which you may spot during Zodiac exploration rides.

The Lemaire Channel, known for its picturesque views and often called “Kodak Alley,” is another highlight planned on this itinerary. This 11 km long channel is just 700 meters wide at its narrowest point. While passing through, you’ll see dramatic mountains and brilliant blue icebergs.

On the return to South America, the ship again sails through the Drake Passage. On the last day, disembarkation takes place after breakfast, and you fly back to Buenos Aires.

Info

Due to the exceptional nature of the region, excursions and the exact itinerary during this expedition cruise depend on ice and weather conditions. The itinerary serves only as a guideline and can be changed for operational reasons. Therefore, Scenic cannot guarantee that the cruise will be carried out exactly as described above.

The Ship

Info

The following ship description refers to the Scenic Eclipse I. The successor ship Scenic Eclipse II is almost identical in construction.

Scenic Eclipse was built in 2019 and is 168 meters long. The design of the Eclipse is more reminiscent of a mega yacht than a cruise ship. The luxury ship accommodates up to 228 passengers (maximum 200 on Antarctica cruises). The ratio between passengers and crew members is almost 1:1, enabling very personal and attentive service. The average speed of the ship is 17 knots.

On board, in addition to two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters for scenic flights and excursions (at extra cost), there is also a submarine capable of diving up to 300 meters (at extra cost), and a remotely operated underwater vehicle that can transmit images live onboard.

Scenic Eclipse has 114 suites ranging from 32 m² (Veranda Suites) to 247 m² (Penthouse Suite with two bedrooms). All guests on board enjoy the advantages of a butler. In the onboard theatre, there is a daily entertainment program or lectures.

The ship offers a variety of restaurants, including Elements (Italian, steak, seafood), Koko’s (Asian fusion cuisine, sushi and teppanyaki), Lumière (French gourmet cuisine) and the casual Azure Bar & Café. These dining options are included in the price. You can also dine in your suite. Included beverages feature a wide selection of complimentary drinks, including premium international wines, spirits and beers, speciality coffees, teas and soft drinks.

The onboard language is English, and the onboard currency is US dollars. Any additional expenses can be conveniently settled at the end of the cruise using all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).

Flights to Buenos Aires

The cruise starts and ends in Ushuaia. The package already includes domestic flights to/from Buenos Aires. These are operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas. So you still need flights to the Argentine capital. Due to the travel period in December 2026 / January 2027, flights are currently not bookable yet. This will be possible approximately 10 to 12 months beforehand. For the international outbound and return flight, you should plan at least €1,000 in Economy Class.

Please also note that your return flight from Buenos Aires on January 6, 2027, must not depart before 9:30 pm. This is necessary to have enough buffer time regarding the feeder flight from Ushuaia. Therefore, another overnight stay in Buenos Aires is advisable.

Impressions from the New Swiss Senses Cabin https://travel-dealz.com/blog/swiss-senses-impressions/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/blog/swiss-senses-impressions/#respond Sat, 08 Nov 2025 13:00:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=article&p=100901

The new Swiss Senses cabin on board the new Swiss Airbus A350 is currently touring around Europe. That’s ideal not only for Swiss cabin crew to get familiar with the procedures, but also for aviation enthusiasts, and therefore also for us, to take a look at the cabin away from big press events.

In this article, we’ll take you along on two flights across Europe aboard Swiss’s newest fleet member: one evening flight from Zurich to Prague and then the return flight the next morning. So please excuse the differences in lighting conditions in the photos.

Swiss A350
HB-IFA: The first Airbus A350 for Swiss, including the Senses cabin

The Cabin

Familiar, yet quite different. That describes the cabin pretty accurately. The seat layout is identical to Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin down to the details. Swiss only offers two additional rows in Business and Premium Economy in their Airbus A350-900.

Swiss Senses

In Zurich, they’ve also chosen a different colour concept, which is implemented differently across the travel classes. Everywhere you can find subtle references to the existing Swiss onboard product, especially in Premium Economy, which in this form has already been used on the long-haul fleet since 2022.

Swiss Senses

Swiss manages to give a well-known cabin concept a distinct twist and a clear recognition factor. Each of the 243 seats reflects the previously known design language, now complemented by a Bordeaux red colour accent. The cabin layout per class is as follows:

  • 156 seats in Economy Class
  • 38 seats in Premium Economy Class
  • 45 seats in Business Class
  • 3–4 seats in First Class

Economy Class

This is the travel class in which most passengers will continue to sit in the future, and compared to older Swiss seats still flying around, it has finally arrived in the present day. That means adjustable headrests, a proper entertainment system, and, unfortunately, still rather narrow armrests.

Swiss Senses

The design hasn’t changed much. You still get the beige checked pattern seat, likely without the white cloth headrest, in the future. The side padding should increase comfort on longer flights.

Swiss Senses

The screen now measures 13 inches, offers 4K resolution, and responds quickly via touch. It’s available in four languages and has USB-C, USB-A, and a headphone jack. Bluetooth pairing for headphones is finally possible.

Swiss Senses

The tray table is no longer foldable in the middle, meaning if you want to place something down without fully opening the table, you’re limited to the cupholder. The table also pulls forward and has a perforation for drinks. Whether this open lock is a good long-term idea, though, is questionable. Crumbs and grains of rice will likely end up in there sooner or later.

Swiss Senses

Currently, the first Economy row behind Premium Economy is blocked (as was the case for a long time at Lufthansa) because airbags are missing. These would prevent the head from hitting the hard plastic partition. Apparently, there wasn’t enough time to install Lufthansa’s solution before delivery.

What are the best Economy seats in the new Senses cabin?

Assuming the seats directly behind Premium Economy become usable soon, these seats are probably the best choice, thanks to their extra legroom. With only two rows there, it’s relatively private and calm.

Two economy class rows between premium economy and the restrooms © Aerolopa

Otherwise, I’d recommend seats in row 28 or row 43 on the right-hand side. The first still has decent legroom, the latter is a row of 2 seats by the window, and thus more relaxed than the typical triple rows.

One row of two seats in the back of the plane © Aerolopa

Premium Economy

Most frequent flyers already know these seats, as they are more or less identical since 2022. Due to the hard shell, the seat moves forward inside the shell when you recline, so the person behind you isn’t affected. Tall passengers may find this uncomfortable at the knees, though.

Swiss Senses

Swiss chose a slightly updated version of this seat. Like in Business and First, you can now wirelessly charge devices under the armrest. Probably only on brand new aircraft, retrofitting the existing fleet would be too much effort.

Swiss Senses

Another shared feature with Business/First is the three-point belt, which must only be worn during takeoff and landing. The little divider at head level gives a slight sense of privacy.

Swiss Senses

Under the centre armrest, you’ll find wireless charging, a headphone jack, and USB-A. Two mechanical buttons adjust the seat; however, these are placed awkwardly. On night flights, I’ve accidentally pressed them in my sleep, which then reset the seat position and woke me up. The same happened to colleague Felix, according to his review.

Swiss Senses

What are the best Premium Economy seats?

There are hardly any differences between seats here. I’d prefer the window pairs, maybe the first row, but comfort differences are minimal.

Business Class

In the previous Swiss Business, you still had a bit of a “choice” between pairs or single seats. Now every seat has direct aisle access, but in return, there are fewer seats ideal for couples. Seat materials are in deep Bordeaux red with black accents and light wood surfaces.

Pros and cons are identical to Lufthansa Allegris Business, and I’m including my Allegris long-haul experience as well regarding space, seating comfort, and sleep comfort (these parameters translate 1:1 to Senses due to identical seat platform).

Swiss Senses

All Swiss Senses Business seats have:

  • seat heating/cooling
  • 4K monitor
  • wireless charging
  • 60W USB-C + USB-A + universal power outlet
  • “sink-in” padding for side sleepers
  • closing compartment for an amenity kit, etc.

One major drawback across all seats: you still can’t use the tablet and main screen simultaneously. If you open the tablet (e.g. to change seat mode), the main screen switches off.

Note

At the moment, Swiss intends to permanently offer the Classic, Extra Privacy, and Extra Long Bed seats free of charge for all Business Class passengers. Swiss confirmed this, but whether they’ll stick with it long-term remains to be seen.

Swiss Senses

Extra Privacy Seat (Window)

Probably the most interesting seat type. There are 12 of them, and the two in row 7 offer extra space. Swiss doesn’t charge extra for them.

Swiss Senses

What’s a slight negative: the fixed armrest on the window side restricts sleeping position somewhat, though shoulder space remains fine. Storage and having two windows are big advantages.

Classic Seat/Extra Long Bed Seat

This is the weakest seat type in the new Swiss Senses Business. Most exposed and less foot space. There are 15 of them, so most passengers will end up here.

Rows C and H have a bit more storage than D and G. You can sit closer together here with a travel partner (which is otherwise only possible in Business suites, which are even more expensive).

Swiss Senses

The Extra Long Bed version adds 20cm more footwell length. There are 5 of them. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really increase usable foot space. Tall people may still struggle sleeping sideways.

Business Suite

My favourite seat in the Allegris/Senses cabin is still the Business Suite, more specifically, the window suites in rows 2 and 8 (A/K). These offer by far the most space and privacy. You also benefit from a larger screen than you get in most Business Class seats. There’s also the most legroom here, as your feet don’t extend under a seat in front.

Swiss Senses

The middle suites, unfortunately, offer noticeably less space than the window suites. However, you can sit together here and lower the divider across the full length of the seats. All suites have extra high walls and closing doors so you can fully retreat. With reservation fees of up to CHF 690 (~€741) though, the pricing is quite steep, almost outrageous.

Extra Space Seat

The 5 Extra Space Seats will probably be most interesting for business travellers who need to work during the flight. Besides the suites, this is the only Business Class seat type that costs extra. Depending on the route, up to CHF 265 (~€284) can be charged here. After the window suites, these offer the most storage space.

Swiss Senses

Like in the suites, you also benefit from a 24-inch screen. The footwell, however, is much more restricted, as it disappears into the fairly narrow centre console of the seats in front. Still, thanks to its location, this seat offers a higher level of privacy on its own, even without extra high walls.

Swiss Senses

Which are the best Business Class seats in the new Senses cabin?

This depends on two scenarios. If the reservation fee doesn’t matter, then the window suites are my clear recommendation.

If you want/need to choose among the three free seat types, the Extra Privacy seats are the best choice, especially the two seats at the back of the first cabin in row 7, which have a bit of extra space. If only Classic Seats are left, then I would choose one of the window seats in row 15.

First Class

The Swiss Senses First Class is structurally identical to the Allegris First Class. Again, there are two types of seats/suites, which I have already tested: the window suite on the way to New York and the Suite Plus on the way back. Swiss actually offers a third seat type: the Grand Suite. This combines the window suite 1A with the double suite 1D/E into a single suite, providing the same setup I had on my way to New York as the only passenger in First Class.

Swiss Senses

The seats follow the style of Swiss’s previous First and Business Class design, complemented by beige surroundings with black and white accents. I personally prefer the colour scheme in Allegris First, but the rest of the parameters remain very impressive: almost complete privacy, a large 4K screen and plenty of storage space. A second person can sit and buckle up on the ottoman to dine together. The large table absolutely supports this.

Compared to my Swiss First flights on the Boeing 777, the screen in the window suites surprisingly didn’t feel much bigger, but it is noticeably sharper and more responsive now. Again, you have the tablet, and again you can’t use the main screen while adjusting the seat on the tablet. The screen in the double suite is still not touch-sensitive, meaning you can’t even bring up the camera on the large monitor unless you pair your phone.

Whether you want to book the Suite Plus for two people is a personal choice. Like many other passengers on these flights, I still don’t fully understand the added value compared to just booking two separate seats with a discount. But if you have the double suite to yourself, you’ll enjoy a huge amount of space.

Where the Senses cabin will fly next

Currently, Swiss Senses is still operating short-haul within Europe until the end of the year. Destinations served from Zurich include Düsseldorf, Geneva, Hanover, Palma de Mallorca and Prague. All travel classes can be booked, except First Class. To sit in Premium Economy, you must book an Economy ticket and then select/reserve the corresponding seats.

Swiss Senses

From 20 November, Swiss will also fly the Senses cabin to Boston, its first long-haul destination. This route will operate until 27 March, the end of the winter schedule. Not every Zurich–Boston flight will be operated by the A350, though. Until early January, only flights from Thursday to Monday will feature the new cabin. After two weeks of daily Senses service, the Senses flights will be reduced to four weekly flights (Friday to Monday).

From 23 February, Swiss will also fly to Montreal from Zurich. This route will be operated continuously until the end of the winter schedule. With the low number of Senses aircraft currently available, a last-minute aircraft change to an older product is always possible.

The currently known Swiss Senses routes

Conclusion

In the end, reviews are always subjective. However, it’s fair to say that Swiss has successfully modernised all four of its travel classes. Still, it’s unfortunate that they didn’t learn from the feedback and issues with the Allegris cabin. Some of the simplest things have not been improved. I personally don’t like the Senses colour scheme as much, but that’s a matter of taste.

What I do see as a clear positive: Swiss in parts avoids the pricing madness of Allegris. Currently, non-status passengers can still select three different seat types, so around 80% of the seats, for free. Senator and HON Circle members can select all seats except the suites at no extra charge. That is something Lufthansa missed, and it makes it easier for me to choose Swiss.

Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand: €2,910 Air China Business Class from Budapest (Long Layovers) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/air-china-business-budapest-oceania/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/air-china-business-budapest-oceania/#comments Sat, 08 Nov 2025 09:00:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=70890#101063

Star Alliance member Air China is offering a deal from Budapest to Australia & New Zealand, starting at just €2,910 (~HUF 1,119,698). This price includes 2×32 kg checked luggage. The only caveat is that, in order to get the best price, you require two long layovers in Beijing – or you can pay a bit extra to have an additional stop in Frankfurt to shorten your travel time. However, you can also take advantage of a multi-city ticket and visit the Chinese capital for several days.

Our search form forwards you to Skyscanner or Air China with your selected flight dates. Departures at the lowest price are available until October 2026.

The business class product on Air China’s Boeing planes is unfortunately quite outdated. It features a 2-2-2 configuration with no direct aisle access for everybody. Seats are Collins Aerospace Parallel Diamond type. These are almost identical to the (old) KLM business class.

Better seating is available on the Airbus A350. It has a staggered 1-2-1 layout with modern Recaro CL6720 seats. These are the same seats found in Iberia’s new business class, although Air China does not have the sliding door.

The cheapest connections include only one layover in Beijing. However, you will have a long layover there of approximately 14 to 22 hours each way.

On the return journey, you can shorten the Beijing layover to just 9 hours if you’re interested (arrival at 5 AM, onward flight at 2 PM). You would first fly with Air China to Frankfurt and then continue with Lufthansa to Budapest. This comes with only a minimal extra cost.

From Budapest to Beijing, Air China operates flights on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Between China and Australia, the aircraft are quite mixed. Typically, there are:

  • Boeing 787 on Beijing – Auckland
  • Boeing 777 on Beijing – Sydney
  • Airbus A350 on Beijing – Melbourne
Visa Info

Most Europeans need a visa to enter Australia. You can apply for the visa online. It’s best to apply at least 1 month before travelling. The visa is free.

Most European citizens don’t need a visa to enter New Zealand for up to three months. An online registration called NZeTA is mandatory.

Until December 2025, citizens of 33 countries in Europe may enter China for 30 days without applying for a visa. The itinerary also qualifies for visa-free transit.

Search & Book

The fare rules give no significant restrictions regarding minimum or maximum stays. We found availability for travel until October 2026.

Google Flights does not reliably display the cheapest dates. If you’re interested, it’s best to search directly on Air China’s website. They offer a flexible search option of +/- 3 days, which can assist in finding the best prices:

MU avcal 1

We recommend booking directly with Air China.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Stopover in Beijing

Stopovers in Beijing are permitted on both the outbound and return journeys. Rather than staying for 14 or 22 hours, you can extend your stay for a few days and explore the Chinese capital. Booking can be easily done using the multi-stop form:

CA BUD PEK AKL C 3100

Deals, That Didn’t Make the Site This Week: Mini Cruise to Colombia, Air France Discount from Spain & More https://travel-dealz.com/deal/deals-that-didnt-make-it/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/deals-that-didnt-make-it/#comments Sat, 08 Nov 2025 07:00:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=86733#101043

Every day of the week, the routine of Travel-Dealz editors begins with combing through countless offers and suggesting them to our colleagues. After evaluating them, only the best deals make it on our homepage and into our newsletter. In this post, we want to shine a light on offers that were discussed, but ultimately disregarded. But just because we didn’t feel they would be interesting for a broader audience, it doesn’t mean that some people won’t cherish them.

Info

In this section, you can’t expect our usual service – we will give one example for each deal. We can only give hints about details like availability, travel period, other origins/destinations or fare rules.

€128 One-Night Cruise from Panama to Colombia

Royal Caribbean currently sells cabins for a one-night cruise between Colon, Panama and Cartagena, Colombia at a discounted price. If you want to get a taste of cruising or check out a suite on the Serenade of the Seas for a discounted price, you can easily do that next April.

RCL Panama Colombia

Reason it wasn’t on the site: This is a very niche deal. It starts in a very small city, that is not a very popular destination itself, doesn’t even include the ride through the Panama Canal and – compared to the current prices for Caribbean or Mexican Riviera cruises – isn’t even that cheap.

FlyingBlue Promo Rewards November 2025

Air France and KLM regularly discount award pricing for FlyingBlue, with a new set of destinations receiving a discount each month. Naturally, business class awards are the most attractive redemption options.

FlyingBlue Promo Rewards November 2025

Reason it wasn’t on the site: The reduced premium destinations are not much to write home about. The one-way flights to Washington come with a decent mileage price-tag, but €400 in taxes and surcharges. West African destinations like Accra and Conakry generally don’t do too well with our audience – and the Latin American destinations lack availability.

Radisson Southeast Asia & Pacific Mini-Sale

Radisson currently promises discounts of up to 35% for stays in 2026 in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. The promotional rate even includes breakfast, but is non-refundable.

Radisson Sale November 2025

Reason it wasn’t on the site: There are several, and mostly are connected to Radisson’s misleading advertising. The sale only applies to select houses in the region, with less than 30 hotels actually participating. Our research showed that the discount is limited to 15% instead of the advertised 35%. And the worst thing is that the promotional rate is prepaid and non-refundable – which negates the long travel period. Who wants to prepay a hotel on the other end of the world ten months in advance?

10% Discount on Air France & KLM Flights from Spain

In addition to the €60 discount on departures from Germany, which didn’t make the site a couple of weeks ago, Air France also issued a 10% discount code on departures from Spain. It comes with a slightly longer travel period.

10% Air France Coupon ✄ show & open
The coupon code is:
Open Air France
Valid until November 16, 2025, for travel from Spain before August 31, 2026. Minimum spending €170 (excl. taxes & surcharges). Only valid for flights operated by Air France or KLM. Number of redemptions is limited.
Valid until November 16, 2025, for travel from Spain before August 31, 2026. Minimum spending €170 (excl. taxes & surcharges). Only valid for flights operated by Air France or KLM. Number of redemptions is limited.

Reason it wasn’t on the site: The discount only applies to the airfare, which limits the actual discount – because taxes & surcharges make up the majority of the ticket price. So even when spending €900 on a flight, the discount turns out to be a measly €25 or less.

Starting at €111: The Cheapest One-Way Tickets from Asia to Europe (€146 with Luggage) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/one-ways-asia-europe/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/one-ways-asia-europe/#comments Fri, 07 Nov 2025 16:58:28 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=91125#101004

Currently, there is a series of cheap one-way tickets from Asia to Europe from various airlines. Many of them are suitable as a round-the-world trip component. Or, for example, if you have enough miles for a one-way ticket (in business class) and want to return to Europe as cheaply as possible. Below is an overview of what we consider to be the most exciting offers. We have manually reviewed hundreds of flights combinations to find the best options for you.

Except Norse’s tickets from Thailand to Scandinavia, all other prices listed below include at least one piece of hold luggage.

We have found cheap departures from each of these airports.

From Thailand to Scandinavia & UK with Norse for €111

Norse Atlantic will fly from to Thailand in its winter schedule. Those who want to travel from Asia to Europe at the beginning of the winter season can find one-way tickets from €111 with 10 kg of cabin baggage & a personal item.

The Classic fare with 23 kg of luggage & meals is available from €164. In Premium Economy, prices start at €428, but luggage still costs extra.

In the calendar, we have marked the cheapest dates up to €200. We will then forward you to Norse:

From Seoul with China Eastern at €146

This may be one of the cheapest one-way flight offers from Asia to Europe at the moment, as Chinese carrier China Eastern has lowered prices to compete with T-Way, the Korean low-cost airline. However, these prices also affect destinations where the low-cost airline does not operate. This fare includes 2×23 kg of luggage.

From Kuala Lumpur with Qatar Airways and Etihad, Starting at €210

From Shanghai with China Southern for €218

China Southern is offering flights with a stopover in Guangzhou or Beijing to fly to Europe. In some combinations, it is possible to have a layover of more than 24 hours to explore the cities in which you are changing planes. The fare includes one 23-kilogram suitcase. However, if you are a student and book through Trip.com, you will have a second 23-kilogram checked luggage for free.

From Osaka with Hainan Airlines, Starting at €219

Unlike China Eastern or Air China, one of the good things about travelling with Hainan Airlines – apart from being a 5-star Skytrax airline – is that it allows you to have a stopover of one or more days in China at no additional cost. The downside is that, due to the schedules of their flights from Osaka, flying with Hainan Airlines requires relatively long layovers in Chongqing or Beijing – or even an overnight stay in Haikou.

From Beijing with Cathay Pacific Starting at €260

The flag carrier of Hong Kong is offering one-way flights from the Chinese capital to Europe. Unfortunately, stopovers of more than 24 hours cannot be made with this fare. However, if you wish to spend a day in Hong Kong, you can have a 23-hour layover, allowing you to stay overnight in Hong Kong and have the entire day to explore the city. This fare includes 23 kilograms of checked luggage.

Bali to Paris with Singapore Airlines for €264 in January 2026

Normally, if you need a one-way flight from Bali to Europe, you will have to fly with Scoot to Athens or Vienna, experiencing a no-frills travel experience – during which you even have to pay for plugging your devices during the flight. However, we have found one-way tickets with Singapore Airlines that include 25 kg of luggage for just €264.

Conclusion

Although purchasing a round-trip flight is usually cheaper than buying a one-way flight, we can see that sometimes it is possible to find a one-way ticket at a reasonable price. This is great, if you have the flexibility to plan your trip. Or if you are looking for a return ticket to complement your award flight. Keep in mind that upon arriving in some countries, you may be denied entry without a return or onward ticket.

Singaporean low-cost airline Scoot is offering a deal from Athens to multiple destinations in Asia, starting at just €375 to Malaysia. This fare includes a personal item and one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg combined. All itineraries require a change of planes in Singapore both ways.

If you want to check a 20 kg bag, it will cost you €126 for both ways if you book it as an add-on to the light fare. You can also select the Value fare for €180, which includes seat selection. These prices are for a ticket to Kuala Lumpur, other destinations might be more or less expensive. Dates are scattered until September 2026, with blackout dates during the summer holidays.

You can reach the following destinations for less than €500 w/o checked bags:

If you want to fly one-way from Athens to Asia, you can do so with this deal. On average, a one-ways ticket will cost you half as much as a round-trip ticket, depending on your dates. For example, you can fly one-way to Bali with a short three-hour layover in Singapore for €231 in June 2026. However, this price is without a checked bag.

Scoot operates non-stop flights from Athens to Singapore. It uses Boeing 787-8 aircraft for this route. The layout of the seats is 3-3-3, and there is a 79 cm seat pitch. Unfortunately, the standard seats in economy class do not have a headrest, so you’ll have to bring a neck pillow or something similar. The seats have power sockets, but you’ll have to pay extra to use them. Overall, these are pretty average economy class seats. Even worse, the airline doesn’t offer any free food & drinks – not even water!

Hand luggage (54 x 38 x 23 cm) and a personal item (40 x 30 x 10 cm) are standard in economy class. Both together may weigh a maximum of 10 kg.

The fare rules don’t give a travel or sales period. There is also no minimum or maximum stay. Dates are scattered until September 2025 with blackout dates during the summer holidays.

DiscoverEU Raffle: 40,000 Free Interrail Passes for European Citizens Born in 2007 (Apply by November 13) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/discover-eu/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/discover-eu/#respond Fri, 07 Nov 2025 14:07:38 +0000 https://travel-dealz.eu/?post_type=deal&p=44444#78384

DiscoverEU was created to bring young people closer to the diversity of Europe. Because of this, the EU raffles free Interrail tickets to 18-year-olds twice a year. With the pass, young people can discover the EU by train, e.g. 7 days within a month. Normally, passes like these cost €286.

As part of the current application round, 40,000 travel passes will be awarded to EU citizens born in 2007. If the Sorting Hat chooses you the odds are in your favour, you can explore Europe by train March 1, 2026, and May 30, 2027. In addition, young people are provided with a discount card, that grants price reductions during the trip. The application deadline is on November 13, 2025 11:59 CET at noon.

Who Can Participate?

In order to apply at DiscoverEU, one must:

  • Be born between January 1, 2007 (inclusive) and December 31, 2007 (inclusive).
  • Live in an EU member state (including overseas territories) or in a country associated with Erasmus+ (Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye).

Schedule of the Current Application Round

The schedule of the current DiscoverEU round is as follows:

  1. Applications can be submitted via the European Youth Portal until November 13, 2025 11:59 CET at noon.
  2. All applicants will receive an email notification stating whether they have won a Travel Pass or been placed on the reserve list. You can also check the status of your application via the European Youth Portal.
  3. The winners can then request their travel pass by a certain deadline. There is a fixed and flexible option to choose from. However, 95% opt for the flexible option.
  4. With the Travel Pass, you can then travel a minimum of 1 day and up to 30 days between March 1, 2026, and May 30, 2027.

How Does the Application Process Work?

First, personal information is requested. However, applicants must also decide whether they prefer to apply alone or in a group of up to 5 people. Then there is a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 5 questions about the EU and EU initiatives.

The estimation question is more difficult. This time, the question is how many applicants in this round are still going to school or are graduating. With a little research, however, you can narrow down the result better. Tip: The DiscoverEU factsheets almost always have valuable information for you. Vice versa, you can provide some information that will help the EU further improve DiscoverEU.

How Does the Selection Process Work?

Each country is allocated a specific number of travel passes based on its share of the total EU population. A ranking is then created based on the answers to the five multiple-choice questions and the guess question. According to this ranking list, the travel passes are issued until the contingent of passes in a country is exhausted. For the last round of applications, for example, the distribution was as follows:

Etihad Airways is offering a business class deal from Europe to Southeast Asia, starting at just €1,594. This deal includes 35kg of checked luggage and priority services, but not lounge access and seat selection. The cheapest fare that includes those goodies costs €1,948 on Etihad’s website for travel from Dublin to Hanoi. Departures are available until September 2026, with a blackout period in July 2026. Most departures are available until March 2026.

All trips have a layover in Abu Dhabi. Every plane has a 1-2-1 business class configuration, with lie-flat seats. Unfortunately, the evening flights from Rome are operated by Wamos Air on an Airbus A330 with a 2-2-2 configuration, and the evening flight from Madrid is operated by Air Europa on a Boeing 787 with a 1-2-1 configuration. On some flights to Phuket, Etihad advertises its new Airbus A321LR. You can expect lie-flat seats on these planes, as well.

Etihad has a good business class, which offers direct access to the aisle for all seats. Additionally, the food & drinks, as well as the service are hard to beat. The biggest weaknesses are its average entertainment program (which is becoming less important in the age of tablets and notebooks). Issues like the airline’s overpriced internet service and subpar business class lounge in Abu Dhabi are things of the past, as Etihad now offers better value packages and operates from a new terminal at its hub.

Etihad Business Class

Paying €400 more to add lounge access is way too much. If you are keen on that experience, paid lounge access from providers like Plaza Premium or Priority Pass is a better deal. For example, a Priority Pass Standard Plus including 10 visits is available for €289 and gives you lounge access in Abu Dhabi, Europe and most Asian airports – plus six additional visits. Since most layovers are rather short, you might even survive 2 hours without free drinks or food.

This deal will expire on November 30, 2025. A maximum stay of twelve months apply. Departures are available until September 2026, with a blackout period in July 2026. Most departures are available until March 2026.

You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on Etihad’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner. However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.

Information & Tips for Cambodia

Cambodia, located in Southeast Asia, is best known for the ancient temple complex of Angkor Wat near Siem Reap, the capital city Phnom Penh with its Royal Palace and Killing Fields memorials, and the laid-back riverside town of Kampot. The official currency is the Cambodian riel, though U.S. dollars are widely used for most transactions. Prices are generally low compared to Western standards, with affordable food, transport, and accommodation. The climate is tropical—hot and humid year-round—with a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October, which can affect travel plans in rural areas.

Getting around Cambodia can be straightforward but sometimes slow. In cities like Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, most people use tuk-tuks or motorbike taxis, as public transport is limited. Roads in urban areas are improving, but traffic can be chaotic and sidewalks inconsistent. Travel between cities is possible by bus, shared van, or private taxi, though journeys can take longer than expected due to road conditions and congestion. Domestic flights and a few train routes connect major destinations, offering faster but more expensive options.

Information & Tips for Indonesia

Indonesia offers diverse attractions, from the temples of Bali and Yogyakarta to the beaches of Lombok and the cultural hub of Jakarta. The local currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR), and cash is widely used, although credit cards are accepted in larger establishments. Prices are generally affordable, though tourist hotspots like Bali can be more expensive. The weather is tropical, with a rainy season from November to March and dry, sunny conditions from April to October, making the latter a popular time to visit.

Indonesia’s transport infrastructure varies by region. In major cities like Jakarta and Bali, traffic can be heavy, and public transport options are limited, although ride-hailing apps like Gojek and Grab are widely used. Within cities, buses, taxis, and motorcycles are common, but they can be slow due to congestion. For intercity travel, domestic flights are the most efficient way to cover long distances, while trains and buses are available but slower and less comfortable. Travel can be more challenging in rural areas, where transportation options may be limited.

Information & Tips for Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is known for landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves, and its vibrant street markets. The local currency is the Malaysian ringgit (MYR), and prices are generally affordable, with low costs for food, transport, and mid-range accommodation. The city is hot and humid year-round, with frequent afternoon rain, especially during the monsoon seasons from May to September and November to March.

Information & Tips for Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, offers a blend of historical sites, chaotic street life, and traditional culture. Popular places to visit include the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Temple of Literature, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Like the rest of Vietnam, the currency is the Vietnamese dong (VND), and travel costs are generally low—street food, local transport, and entrance fees are budget-friendly. The weather has more variation than the south, with hot, rainy summers from May to September and cooler, drier winters, especially from December to February.

50% Bonus on Bundle&Go Packages: Buy Miles&More Miles for 1.17 Cents per Mile (New Customers Only) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/bundle-go-miles-more/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/bundle-go-miles-more/#comments Thu, 06 Nov 2025 16:00:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=46068#93844

There are a variety of ways to purchase points and miles for loyalty programs. Miles&More, a program originated by Lufthansa and now covering five major airlines in Europe, offers multiple means to get those sweet award miles. One of them is called Bundle&Go, which allows you to purchase miles alongside a bunch of (mostly useless) other perks.

Usually, these packages are sold with a bonus on top of the miles. This time, you get a 50% bonus on the mileage portion of each bundle, allowing you to purchase 150,000 Miles&More Miles for €1,750, resulting in a great value of 1.17 Euro cents per mile.

You can choose between four bundles:

  • Large: 150,000 miles for €1,750 (1.17 cpm)
  • Medium: 75,000 miles for €1,000 (1.33 cpm)
  • Small: 15,000 miles for €250 (1.67 cpm)
  • XS: 4,500 miles for €90 (1.87 cpm)

Buy Bundle and Go October 25

Terms & Conditions

If you want to get the 50% bonus miles, you have to purchase a bundle before November 30, 2025. You will receive your miles within five workdays (sometimes instantly), but must respect the limit of 250,000 miles (400,000 miles with the bonus) that can be purchased during the year. You can find the full terms and conditions for the promotion here. Sadly, you can only take advantage of this promotion if you haven’t purchased a bundle in the past.

Just like earned miles, purchased miles expire after 36 months. This does not apply to M&M status holders or owners of a Miles&More credit card.

Full Content of the Bundles

Here is a list of the full content of the bundles. The miles are the most exciting part of the offer, since the other perks have a cash value of a few dollars at best.

Attractive Redemption Options

Miles&More overhauled its reward system in June 2025. As a result, many of the older sweet spots are no longer valid, but a couple of new redemption options opened up. We have collected information about the new system and interesting redemption options here:

Since Miles&More now works with dynamic pricing, not only the availability, but also the price for rewards flights can change in an instant. Here are some examples for sensible redemptions – example prices are based on the lowest possible purchase price of 1.17 cpm:

You can find even more redemption options on our German site here.

Bottom Line

1.17 cents per mile is a decent price for Miles&More award mileage, though it comes right after the best promotion we’ve seen so far. If you already have a way of redeeming them in mind, go ahead and buy as many miles as you wish. That being said, it is never a good idea to stockpile award mileage, as airlines can devalue their award charts anytime – as it just happened. In 2024, Miles&More raised its surcharges for specific routes twice and in June 2025, it completely overhauled the program. At least the latter led to a number of great redemption options from Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

The Ship

The Costa Smeralda was built in 2019. As the ship was launched so recently, it has not yet been renovated. It is 337 meters long and 42 meters wide. The ship reaches a maximum speed of 21.5 knots and has a capacity for up to 6,554 passengers and 1,646 crew members. As one of the first ships of its kind, it is powered by more environmentally friendly Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

For leisure and relaxation, the ship features four swimming pools, a water park, a spa, and a modern fitness centre. Entertainment options are plentiful, with a large theatre showcasing Broadway-style shows, a casino, a nightclub, and various themed bars and lounges throughout the ship.

There are 16 dining options on board, with six included in the cruise fare. These include the main restaurants (Il Rugantino, L’Arlecchino, Il Meneghino, and La Colombina), a dedicated family restaurant (Tutti a Tavola), and a large buffet (La Sagra dei Sapori). Speciality restaurants are available for an extra charge.

The main onboard languages are English, German, and Italian, and the currency used for all transactions is the Euro.

Info

The entire Travel-Dealz team chose the Costa Smeralda for a short team vacation in April 2025. We had a lot of fun on board. The design of the ship’s public spaces is simple, but varied and entertaining. Our spacious balcony cabins caught us by surprise, as they never felt cramped. Despite the ship’s huge size, we usually didn’t notice the thousands of other passengers – only during meal times, during which the food was miles better than the organization. Especially when scoring a price like this, you are certainly getting your money’s worth on the Costa Smeralda.

The Cheapest Marriott Hotels in the World https://travel-dealz.com/deal/cheapest-marriott-international-hotels/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/cheapest-marriott-international-hotels/#respond Thu, 06 Nov 2025 08:26:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.eu/?post_type=deal&p=38171#100812

Marriott International is the third-largest hotel chain in the world (by the number of hotels), with approximately 8,500 hotels worldwide. Most of the time, however, Marriott hotels are rather expensive. But there are also some exceptions. We have searched them for you and found 25 hotels that cost no more than €35! Conclusion

While the prices on these lists are very low, if we’re being honest, only a handful of these hotels are located in a place where you would actually want to spend your holidays. Also, none of these hotels is in Europe, making the list even more worthless to us. And so, Marriott fails to surprise us with a few nice sweet spots, as e.g. Hilton had done with cheap hotels in Da Nang, London, Kuala Lumpur, Strasbourg, and more popular cities.

If you’re looking for a cheap Marriott hotel in Europe (mostly Moxy and AC hotels), feel free to check out our separate list. It hasn’t been updated for over a year, but it should still be good enough for some inspiration:

NCL Renames “More-at-Sea” Back to “Free-at-Sea” – All Changes at a Glance https://travel-dealz.com/news/ncl-free-at-sea/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/news/ncl-free-at-sea/#respond Wed, 05 Nov 2025 18:08:26 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=news&p=100639

It’s only been a year since Norwegian Cruise Line renamed the well-known Free at Sea package to More at Sea – and now it’s being renamed again, this time to Even More Free at Sea. For short cruises up to 6 nights, the “old new” package actually gets cheaper, but prices are going up for longer cruises.

NCL will also no longer distinguish between inside/outside and balcony cabins in terms of speciality dining visits. In the new Free at Sea package, the number of included speciality restaurants only depends on the length of the cruise.

For the internet, there will now be a flat 150 free minutes for cruises of 2 nights or more. This benefits short cruises, but previously cruises of 11 nights or more came with 300 free minutes.

There are no changes for the shore excursion credit or included drinks – except that starting March 1, 2026, the second private island, Great Stirrup Cay, will also be excluded from the beverage packages.

The New Prices

For short cruises of 1 to 6 nights, prices for the new Free at Sea package actually drop significantly. On a 4-day trip (3 nights), you theoretically only pay €37 per night for the first and second person in a cabin. For cruises of 8 nights or more, it becomes slightly more expensive for the first and second guests.

But it becomes significantly more expensive for longer cruises for guests in the 3rd–8th berth in a cabin. Here, price increases go up to 23%.

Speciality Dining Visits

With the new Free at Sea package, guests in inside and outside cabins benefit. But in a balcony cabin, you now have to make do with fewer included speciality restaurant visits.

Free Internet Minutes

Going forward, cruises of at least 2 nights will always get a flat 150 free minutes. In the More at Sea package, there were still 300 free minutes for cruises of 11 nights or more. Unfortunately, this is still far from an unlimited rate.

Conclusion

NCL wants to make the package more attractive for short cruises. Especially in the US market, the trend is currently toward short Caribbean and Mexico cruises of 3–6 nights, and these changes target exactly that. In Europe, however, NCL cruises are usually longer than a week, and therefore benefit much less from these changes.

The fact that NCL is throwing the More at Sea brand name overboard so quickly is surprising. More at Sea was supposed to highlight the additional benefits compared to Free at Sea. Presumably customers simply didn’t adopt the new name.

Turkish Airlines Student Discount: Extra Baggage Allowance & Other Benefits for Students Aged 34 or Younger https://travel-dealz.com/deal/turkish-airlines-students/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/turkish-airlines-students/#respond Wed, 05 Nov 2025 17:43:25 +0000 https://travel-dealz.eu/?post_type=deal&p=38327#100748

There aren’t many companies that still offer student travel discounts. Most airlines from the Middle East are a welcome exception. In addition to Etihad, Qatar Airways and Emirates you can find similar offers from Cathay Pacific. In this post however, Turkish Airlines will be the centre of attention.

Pupils and students up to their 35th birthday can benefit from this promotion. Which advantages Turkish Airlines promises – and which of them are actually granted – is what this article is about.

TK Studen Benefits
Student benefits at Turkish Airlines

Benefits

Above you can see the advantages for students listed briefly. Below are a few more details:

Additional Baggage Allowance

The additional baggage allowance is quickly explained. Wherever you can normally check in 30 kg of luggage (weight concept), the free baggage allowance as a student increases to 40 kg.

On some routes, however, Turkish Airlines uses the piece concept with 2x 23 kg. Student status doesn’t change that. On domestic flights in Turkey, fees for excess baggage are apparently only reduced, not completely waived.

turkish airlines student luggage
40 kg baggage allowance instead of the regular 30 kg

“Discounted” Tickets

After registration and login, students can book discounted tickets with Turkish Airlines. The following discounts are advertised:

  • 20% discount on domestic flights
  • Up to 15% discount on international flights

15% off international tickets doesn’t sound like much. In fact, the discount on some routes is more in the per thousand range than in per cent. During our tests, the highest savings were possible on Turkish domestic flights in business class.

  • Hamburg – Kuala Lumpur: €784 instead of €837
  • Munich – Seoul: €889 instead of €943
  • Frankfurt – Istanbul: €200 instead of €208 (incl. a 23 kg checked bag in the Economy ExtraFly fare)
  • Budapest – Antananarivo: €917 instead of €993
  • Istanbul – Izmir: TRY 8,894 (~€182) instead of TRY 10,908 (~€223) in Business Class

However, in all fairness, the student tickets have semi-flex conditions, meaning that they are partially refundable. The prices that we compared these to, were the cheap, non-refundable tickets. We chose to do this, as most people would buy non-refundable tickets instead of paying hundreds more for semi-flex conditions.

Procedure

Although anyone can search for a ticket for students on TurkishAirlines.com, according to Turkish Airlines, you must first register to book. The procedure is as follows:

Register for Student Account

If you don’t have one already, you need a (free) account at the Miles&Smiles frequent flyer program. You can create one here.

You then have to fill out the feedback form so that the status is stored in your account. Under Applications, select the appropriate option:

turkish airlines student application
Application for student status at Turkish Airlines

After a little waiting time (about a week for Peer) you will then receive an e-mail that the application has been approved:

Now you can proceed to book the tickets:

Book Flights

Student tickets can be booked directly on the Turkish Airlines website. The arrow indicates the option to select one (or more) Students instead of Adults:

turkish airlines booking form student

The reduced prices are automatically displayed in the next step. Even if there are no reduced tickets, at least the additional baggage allowance and more flexible conditions apply to your ticket.

Quantum of the Seas: €281/$287 Mini Mexico Cruises from Los Angeles in a Balcony Cabin https://travel-dealz.com/deal/quantum-of-the-seas-los-angeles/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/quantum-of-the-seas-los-angeles/#respond Wed, 05 Nov 2025 17:29:21 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=100676

With the Quantum of the Seas from Royal Caribbean, you can embark on a short cruise to the Mexican Riviera with departures from November 2025 to March 2026. The sailing takes you from Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico, and back. The current price of less than €71 per night for a balcony cabin is a true bargain for a relaxing stay at sea during your vacation in California.

You can currently book a 3-night cruise in an inside cabin from just €257 per person. However, the oceanview cabins start from €264, and the balcony cabins start from €282, which are significantly more appealing (prices per person based on double occupancy). Unfortunately, the balcony cabin for solo cruisers starts at €460.

The ship is also offering different combinations: a 2-night cruise with one day in Ensenada, a 3-night cruise with one sea day, a 4-night cruise with two sea days, and another 4-night cruise with one sea day and one stop in Catalina Island. Prices for the cheapest sailing are consistently below $100 per night in the balcony cabin category.

The cruise price includes full board in the main and buffet restaurants, as well as coffee, water, tea, and iced tea during the buffet’s opening hours. Most onboard facilities and activities (e.g., use of sun loungers and pools on the outer deck, shows in the theatre, gym, etc.) are also included in the package.

Important

Royal Caribbean adds an automatic crew gratuity of US$18 per person, per day, to your onboard account.

If you live in Europe, we recommend booking through Travel-Dealz, and if you live in the USA, book via CruiseDirect, as long as the price difference is not significant. If the difference is considerable, you can choose the cheaper option, but keep in mind that the consumer guarantees are different for Americans and Europeans.

Route (For the 3-night cruise)

Your journey begins in Los Angeles, California. The City of Angels offers many attractions, from the glamour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills to the original Disneyland Park in Anaheim. Depending on when you arrive, you can explore world-class museums, hike to the Hollywood sign, or enjoy the local food scene before embarking on your cruise.

After a full day at sea to enjoy all the amenities the Quantum of the Seas has to offer, you will arrive in Ensenada, Mexico. Located on the coast of Baja California, Ensenada is a popular port known for its pleasant weather, scenic waterfront, and bustling city centre. It’s also the gateway to Mexico’s premier wine region, the Valle de Guadalupe, where you can tour vineyards and sample local wines.

A must-see attraction near Ensenada is La Bufadora, one of the largest marine geysers in the world, which shoots water high into the air. After a day of exploration, the ship will sail back overnight, returning you to Los Angeles the next morning.

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$40 (~€35) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

The Ship

The Quantum of the Seas established the new Quantum class for Royal Caribbean in 2014. At the time, it was the largest cruise ship produced by Meyer Papenburg and in all of Germany. It is 347 meters long, has a capacity for up to 4,180 passengers and 1,550 crew members, and now has four sister ships.

The ship’s design is suitable for nearly all cruise regions. New attractions include RipCord by iFly, a skydiving simulator where you can float in a wind tunnel, and the North Star, a glass capsule on a crane that swings you over the side for breathtaking 360-degree views. The SeaPlex is a multi-functional indoor hall with bumper cars, a roller-skating rink, and a circus school. A surf simulator and the signature climbing wall are also on board. All these attractions are included in the price.

The dining concept deviates from traditional cruising. Instead of a single main dining room, you have a choice of five complimentary main restaurants, plus several speciality restaurants available for an extra charge. This “Dynamic Dining” concept offers more variety and flexibility, without fixed seating times, while maintaining the high quality expected from Royal Caribbean.

The onboard language is English, and the currency used for all transactions is the US Dollar (US$).

Here are some impressions of the ship:

Getting There & Back

The cruise starts and ends in Los Angeles, so you will need to arrange flights to one of the many airports in the Los Angeles area. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) offers the most connections. We recommend arriving at least one day before departure to avoid any issues with flight delays.

To find the cheapest flights for your desired dates, you can use the form below and then proceed to Trip.com.
