If you’re heading to the United Arab Emirates this winter, you may want to consider exploring the region on board one of Celestyal Cruises’ newest ships, the Celestyal Discovery or Celestyal Journey. These cruises are between 3 and 7 nights long and available between December 2025 and March 2026.

The Routes

These cruises are available in different lengths, ranging from 3 days to 7 days. For the longer routes, you can depart from Dubai or from Abu Dhabi – whichever suits you better. The short mini-cruises always start and end in Abu Dhabi.

The mini-cruises stop in Dubai and Sir Bani Yas. The longer cruises usually also include Doha (Qatar) and either Al-Khazab (Oman) or Bahrain.

The Ships

The Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey are sister ships operated by Celestyal Cruises, a line known for its focus on Greek and Eastern Mediterranean itineraries. Both vessels are mid-sized, carrying around 1,200 to 1,300 passengers each. Small enough to access ports that larger ships often can’t, yet large enough to offer a comfortable range of facilities.

The Celestyal Discovery, entering service for the line in 2024, is the newer of the two. It features refreshed interiors with a clean, modern design and a focus on open spaces and natural light. The ship includes several dining venues, a pool deck, lounges, and entertainment areas, but its scale keeps things relatively intimate.

The Celestyal Journey, which joined the fleet in 2023 after an extensive refurbishment, is slightly larger and offers a comparable experience with a few additional options. It includes multiple restaurants, several bars, a spa, and a sun deck with pools and hot tubs. Like the Discovery, it retains a smaller-ship feel, prioritising comfort and personal service over flashy amenities.

Both ships are aimed at travellers who care more about the destinations than constant onboard activity. Their itineraries tend to feature frequent port calls and longer stays, especially around the Greek islands, Turkey, and the Eastern Mediterranean. Together, they represent Celestyal’s move toward a more polished, contemporary product while maintaining the line’s relaxed, destination-focused style.
