Star Alliance members SWISS and All Nippon Airways (with a little help from Eurowings) team up to bring you cheap business class flights from Prague and Warsaw to Tokyo-Narita. Flights from Prague start at €1,617 (~CZK 39,293), while flights from Warsaw are a little more expensive (€1,635 (~PLN 6,979)).
All flights feature a layover in either Zurich or Dusseldorf, where you can enjoy lounge access. After arriving in Tokyo-Narita, you can add Japanese domestic flights to your journey without increasing the total price noticeably.
Further destinations with an additional layover in Tokyo include:

With departure from Prague, SkyTeam carriers Air France and KLM offer flights to Tokyo in the same price range. However, the long haul segments are ticketed in dreaded booking class O that allows no mileage earned aside from FlyingBlue and Delta SkyMiles.
The twelve hour flights between Europe and Tokyo are operated by either Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft (with ANA via Dusseldorf) or Airbus A340-300 (with SWISS via Zurich). Both airlines feature upper tier business class products. While flights to Zurich will be in SWISS’ European business class, connections via Dusseldorf feature an Eurowings economy class trip to/from Prague. LOT Polish Airlines operates flights between Warsaw and Dusseldorf.

Information & Tips for Japan
Japan offers a blend of modern cities and natural beauty, with highlights including Tokyo’s bustling urban landscape, Kyoto’s historic temples, Mount Fuji, and the hot springs of Hakone. The currency is the Japanese yen (JPY), and credit cards are widely accepted in urban areas, though cash is still common in rural regions. Japan can be pricey, especially in cities, with high costs for accommodation and dining, but budget options are available. The weather varies by region: summers are hot and humid, while winters can be cold, particularly in the north. The best time to visit is typically during spring (for cherry blossoms) or autumn (for fall foliage).
Japan’s transport infrastructure is highly efficient and easy to navigate. In cities like Tokyo and Osaka, the metro and train systems are extensive, punctual, and relatively easy to use, though they can get crowded during peak hours. Buses and taxis are also available, but less convenient for tourists. For intercity travel, Japan’s Shinkansen (bullet trains) are fast, comfortable, and reliable, though more expensive than other options. Buses and domestic flights are also available for longer distances, but trains remain the preferred choice for many travellers due to speed and convenience.
