Swiss‘ subsidiary Edelweiss Air offers cheap Business Class tickets to Ho-Chi-Minh-City. A roundtrip starting and ending in Paris is available at €1,347. The flights require a short layover in Zurich. Edelweiss’ Business Class product is basically the same as parent company Swiss’ premium cabin. Economy class tickets on the same flights start at €392, including board service and a checked bag up to 23kg.

Swiss’ short-haul Airbus aircraft will take you from Paris to Zurich. An Edelweiss Airbus A340-300 will take you onwards to southern Vietnam.

According to fare rules, this deal will expire on September 30, 2019. Further restrictions are a minimum stay of three days or at least one Saturday or Sunday. Your maximum stay may not exceed three months. This fare is valid for all flights leaving Europe before August 31st, 2020.
The earliest available travel dates start in November 2019. Availability in business class is great during the entire travel period. While cheap economy tickets are not as common, you’ll still find plenty of travel dates.
We recommend checking Google Flights to find out which dates’ prices are lowest (instructions). You’ll be able to score slightly cheaper tickets using the same dates in our flight search. When booking premium tickets, we still recommend booking directly via swiss.com. This way, you get better customer service in case anything goes wrong.
Mileage
Business class tickets are issued in booking class P. Since Edelweiss is not a member of Star Alliance, you can only earn miles in Miles&More and United’s MileagePlus for long haul flights.
- Miles&More:
- 100% status miles (125% with executive bonus)
- turnover based award mileage
- United MileagePlus:
- 100% status miles
- 100% bis 200% award miles (depending on your status)
Information & Tips for Vietnam
Vietnam offers a mix of vibrant cities, historic landmarks, and natural beauty—popular sights include Ha Long Bay, the old town of Hoi An, the Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi’s colonial architecture. The official currency is the Vietnamese dong (VND), and while prices are generally low compared to Western standards, tourist hotspots can be more expensive. Expect a tropical climate with hot, humid summers and a rainy season that varies by region—so packing accordingly is key.
Vietnam’s transport infrastructure is mixed—within cities, getting around is relatively easy thanks to widespread motorbike taxis and ride-hailing apps, though traffic can be chaotic and sidewalks crowded. Public buses exist but are often confusing for tourists. Between cities, options include budget airlines, trains, and long-distance buses; while not always fast or punctual, they are generally affordable and accessible with some planning.
