So, we recommend that you click on the link to LATAM’s website to book these flights (Skyscanner shows a slightly different price than what you’ll get on LATAM’s website).

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price. It will forward you to Skyscanner with your selected flight dates. From there, you should proceed to LATAM. You can check what OTAs have to offer, as they sell these tickets up to €30 cheaper – but you would forfeit your right to a refund in most cases.

You will cross the Atlantic with LATAM on their Boeing 787-8 with a 2-2-2 cabin layout in business class. The flight takes roughly 10 hours. If you’re then continuing to a different city, you’ll be seated in a cabin that’s more like a superior economy than a business class. Don’t expect too much on those short segments.

This deal doesn’t have an expiration date. The fare rules don’t mention a minimum stay requirement, but a maximum stay of twelve months applies. You have to buy your ticket at least 30 days before departure to get the lowest price. The availability seems to be limited to a few dates in September and November.

Information & Tips for Colombia

Colombia has a mix of attractions, from colonial towns like Cartagena and mountain cities like Bogotá and Medellín to natural spots like Tayrona National Park and the Coffee Region. The local currency is the Colombian peso (COP), and while cards are accepted in most cities, cash is often needed in smaller towns. Prices are generally low, especially for food and transport, though tourist hotspots can be more expensive. Weather depends heavily on altitude—coastal areas are hot and humid year-round, while cities in the Andes tend to be spring-like, with mild days and cool nights.

Transport in Colombia varies by region. Within cities, options include buses, taxis, and rideshare apps, though traffic can be heavy, especially in Bogotá. Medellín stands out with its clean and efficient metro system. Intercity travel is mostly by bus, which can be slow due to mountainous terrain, but services are frequent and affordable. Domestic flights are common and often necessary for longer distances, given the country’s geography and limited rail infrastructure.

I’d urge you to check with your bank/credit card company ASAP. LATAM took over £3000 from me after three “Unable to complete payments” and they told me that they can’t process my order and ask me to provide more information so that they can refund the money to me. Very dodgy practice, I do not recommend using their service.

The flights in May 2025 is direct from Madrid to Bogota operated by Iberia which is great. HOWEVER, I’m unable to pay for the flights at all. I’ve tried different browser, different credit/debit cards and even a VPN to change my IP to Spain. Now £3000 has been set aside by my bank for LATAM to collect the money and I’m still unable to book these flights. Not good at all.

An update since my last few attempts to book this flight with LATAM. They’ve taken my money but unable to process my order. Here’s what they’ve said in the email:

      Dear David,

We regret to inform you that there have been complications in processing the payment for the ticket(s) bearing reference number 045-2164232631 that you have requested via our website.

To facilitate the refund process, we kindly ask for the following details:

Full name of the account holder:
      Copy of your passport (attached):
      Name of your bank:
      Account number:
Type of account (Checking or Savings):
Country where the account is held:
      Contact number and email address:
ACH routing number (for accounts in the USA):
      Bank address:

If your bank is situated outside of the USA, please also furnish the following information based on your location:

      IBAN (for accounts in Europe):
      Swift code:
Transit number (for accounts in Canada):
      BSB (for accounts in Australia)

As I cannot provide some of information they’ve asked for, I’ve spoken to my bank who has initiated the transaction dispute process to get my money back. It’s very naughty of them to hold people’s money without issuing the tickets. I can also confirm that the price for flights in May 2025 has increased to €2000 since I made the complaint for not getting my booking confirmed after paying for them.

be aware that the refund is in Latam wallet not refund in your credit card, unfortunately I realize after purchase 😒

  4. Pepe says:

I’m sorry but I have to disagree with the statement that Iberia’s business class onboard the a350 is superior to Latams old business class on Boeing aircrafts. yes it is newer and the a350 is an awesomely quite plane in the front, but the food, drinks and service is better at Latam imo and I like the spacious bulkhead seats in Latams layout better even if they aged a little.

    • Sierra says:

Exactly. The Seat is great on Iberia….but the Servicelevel on Latam is totally different and the food quite nice!

    • Peer says:

Being 6’6″ tall, I hated the (old) LATAM business seat and couldn’t sleep properly. Worst Business seat that I’ve tried for a while. Food was better on Iberia, too.

I can understand the appeal of the seat for shorter people, however.
