All itineraries require a change of planes in Frankfurt, Munich or Zurich. European legs are operated by Swiss or Lufthansa mainline planes – or TAP A320s in some cases. In all instances, a European business class product (an empty middle seat and free food and beverage service) awaits you – unless you are lucky and TAP deploys one of their A321 LR aircraft with lie-flat seats. These are currently scheduled on one daily rotation to Frankfurt (TP 570/TP 571) and Munich (TP 552/TP 553).

The long flights are Swiss Boeing 777-300ER services with lie-flat-seats in an alternating 2-2-1 and 1-2-1 seating alignment from Zurich, a Lufthansa Boeing 747-8 from Frankfurt or an Airbus A350-900 from Munich. If you don’t end up in an Airbus A350 with Lufthansa’s new Allegris business class, the routing via Zurich might be the best choice.

With SWISS, it very much depends on the specific seat, as SWISS has a throne seat in every row. While the double seats share a platform in the middle, the throne seat has its own platform on each side, which you won’t have to share with anyone. Those seats thus offer privacy and comfort to an extent that the other seats cannot compete with. Therefore, you may be disappointed if you don’t get one of the throne seats, even if the other seats obviously also have a very high standard. In the future, SWISS will have a new business class, called “Swiss Senses”, which is basically Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin, but in red.

Generally, Travel-Dealz writers and readers are not big fans of the Lufthansa business class, even though it is definitely not bad. One reason for that is that the service is too inconsistent: From extremely friendly and quick to unfriendly and slow – everything is possible with Lufthansa, even in business class. Regarding the seats, they are mostly fine, though not really on-par with the competition anymore. That’s why the airline is now slowly installing their new Allegris seats.

If you are not keen on taking the detour via Germany or Switzerland, you can also find non-stop flights with LATAM, TAP or Azul for roughly €200 more during the travel period.

Visa Info

Most Europeans do not need a visa to enter Brazil, as long as they don’t stay for more than 90 days within a 180-day period. You merely need to have an empty page in your passport.

The fare rules for this deal don’t give away a travel or sales period. A minimum stay of eight days applies to get the lowest fare. The advertised price is exclusively available in the first three months of 2026.

Google Flights helps you find additional flight dates. We recommend buying premium tickets directly from the airline, in this case Lufthansa or Swiss.
