TAP has launched a small Kids Fly for Free campaign for a couple of European routes from Lisbon. With this sale, children (2 to 11 years old) would only pay taxes, and infants (< 2 years old) fly completely for free.
This campaign is only valid until tomorrow (May 30, 2024). The flights, however, can take place anytime during these two travel periods:
- September 15 – December 14, 2024
- January 15 – March 31, 2025
Furthermore, this promotion is only valid on flights from Lisbon to:
- Barcelona
- Copenhagen
- London
- Madrid
- Paris
- Rome
- Seville
Also, each adult can bring up to 1 child and 1 infant with this promotion.
To test this, we considered a round trip from Lisbon to Paris. Currently, the price per adult stands at €90, out of which €55 are taxes and €35 is the ticket price and airline surcharge. So we tried booking for one adult, one child, and one infant:
As you can see, the family of three can fly to Paris and back for only €145, the adult paying the full €90, the child only paying €55 in taxes, and the infant flying completely free.
Conclusion
This is quite a good deal for families. The only shame is that it’s limited to a handful of routes from Lisbon. But if you’re based in Portugal and want to take a trip with your kids, this is definitely the moment to book it.
