Carnival is currently offering a very cheap cruise from Tampa to Cozumel and back. Currently, an outside cabin on its Carnival Paradise only costs €249 (~US$292) per person for the four nights on board. There are various possible departure dates, the cheapest being in September. Similar prices can be found from August until December.
This price includes full-board service (i.e. all meals), including drinks during meal times. Tips are not included but are optional. Travelling alone would cost €476 (~US$558), so this deal really only makes sense if you book for 2 passengers.
The Route
The cruise starts and ends in Tampa. Here’s the full itinerary:
- Day 1: Tampa (departs at 15:30)
- Day 2: At sea
- Day 3: Cozumel, Mexico (8:00 – 16:00)
- Day 4: At sea
- Day 5: Tampa (arrives at 8:00)
The Ship
The Paradise was built in 2001 and has 1,062 cabins. On board, you’ll find 6 restaurants and 3 bars, as well as various areas to be active, playing e.g. basketball, mini golf, and table tennis, among other sports. Furthermore, you can enjoy Las Vegas shows, go to the cinema, or relax in the Carnival Spa. The language spoken on this cruise ship is English, and the currency is the US dollar. Water, tea, and coffee are free at all times.
Internet access is not included and would cost between $12.75 and $18.70 per day, depending on the package you book.
