Thanks to a recent price drop, you can currently book a 4-night cruise from Port Canaveral (50 miles from Orlando) to the Bahamas (and back) for merely €265 (~US$311), staying in an outside cabin and including all meals. The cruise departs on October 28 and ends on November 1, 2024.
The Route
From Port Canaveral, near Orlando, you’ll head to Nassau, the capital and largest city of the Bahamas, located on the eastern half of New Providence Island. Then, you’ll head to Freeport, the second most populous city. And then, back to Port Canaveral.
Here’s the exact itinerary:
- Day 1: Port Canaveral (departs at 3:30 PM)
- Day 2: At sea
- Day 3: Nassau (8 hours)
- Day 4: Freeport (8 hours)
- Day 5: Port Canaveral (arrives at 8 AM)
The Ship
The Carnival Glory was built in 2003 and is 290 meters long and 36 meters wide. The ship can reach a maximum speed of 23 knots and accommodates up to 2,984 passengers. Nearly 1,200 crew members ensure the comfort and well-being of the guests. The Carnival Glory belongs to the Conquest class of the Carnival Cruise Line.
The ship offers numerous options for relaxation and fun. These include four swimming pools, including a children’s pool, seven whirlpools, and a wellness area with a sauna, steam bath, and massage service. For sports activities, there is a jogging track and a fitness studio. Additionally, the ship features a library, a shopping promenade with various shops and boutiques, an art gallery, and an internet café. For evening entertainment, passengers can choose from a variety of clubs, bars, and lounges.
The Carnival Glory has two main restaurants with table service. Furthermore, the included buffet restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere. Other culinary options include the pizzeria, Guy’s Burger Joint, The Taste Bar, or Blue Iguana Cantina. For an additional fee, guests can dine at various speciality restaurants.
Carnival Cruise Line positions itself as a family-friendly cruise line. Therefore, there is a diverse program for children and teenagers. For an additional fee, a babysitting service is available for children aged 6 months to 11 years.
