Fortunately, solo travellers do not have to pay any additional fees. All meals are included.

The Ship

The Norwegian Pearl was built in 2006 and last renovated in 2021. The ship is 294 meters long and 38 meters wide, with a maximum speed of 25 knots, although this speed is rarely needed during regular operations. The ship can accommodate a total of 2,394 passengers and 1,072 crew members. It was built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.

The ship’s bars and lounges provide lively entertainment, with a special highlight being the Bliss Ultra Lounge, which also serves as a bowling centre and nightclub. A show is performed every evening in the Stardust Theater. The ship features a fitness centre and an outdoor sports court, allowing passengers to stay active at any time. For relaxation, passengers can visit the spa area (for an additional fee).

The Norwegian Pearl offers a total of 16 different dining options. In addition to the main and buffet restaurants, there are various specialty restaurants available for an additional charge, such as a steakhouse, Le Bistro with French delicacies, or the Brazilian-themed Moderno. There’s something to suit every taste.

The onboard language is English. The onboard currency is the US Dollar, and you can easily settle your expenses at the end of the cruise using a credit card.
