New York‘s hotel prices are infamously high, even for mediocre hotels, and luxurious 5-star hotels are seldom available for 3-digit prices. Thanks to this 3-for-2 deal, however, you could stay at the Mandarin Oriental for “only” US$687 (~€586) per night. And thanks to ASMALLWORLD, you’d even get free breakfast, US$100 (~€85) to spend at the hotel, early & late check-in/out, and an upgrade.
While this price is obviously not for everyone, should you wish to spend your New York stay in such an upscale hotel, this is actually a very fair price – far cheaper than what you’d usually have to pay. The rate is cancellable up to 1 day before check-in, so if you find a better deal before reaching New York, you can always cancel.
The 3-for-2 deal is available for stays between December 15 and April 21. The cheapest dates, however, are in January and February 2025. We’ve marked the cheapest dates in green. Remember that you need to select exactly 3 nights:

You would be booking a room with a view of the Hudson River, either with one King or two Twin beds. We believe that the promised upgrade (based on availability) will probably be to a room facing Central Park. These elegant rooms are almost 40 m2 large, contemporarily decorated, and feature a granite and marble bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower.

You get $100 to spend on food and beverages during your stay. At the MO Lounge (menu), you could order e.g. Babaganoush for $23, steamed halibut for $48, or a club sandwich for $35 (all prices plus tax plus tip – it’s the USA after all).
The Hotel
The Mandarin Oriental, New York is a cosmopolitan 5-star hotel with luxurious rooms in a high-rise building, located right by Central Park and the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The hotel was featured by The Most Perfect View on its list of New York hotels offering the best views thanks to its views of Central Park, the Hudson River, Columbus Circle, the One57 Building and the 432 Park Avenue Building. Unsurprisingly for a Mandarin Oriental, the decor has a sophisticated Asian aesthetic. The hotel also boasts an award-winning spa and is one of the few hotels in the area to offer an indoor pool.

Previous guests have left very good reviews of the hotel (something that’s quite rare in Manhattan). Google and Trip.com both display an average rating of at least 4.5/5 stars for this hotel. Most reviews praise the great views of Central Park and we couldn’t find any major complaints.
Located on the southwestern corner of Central Park, you can enjoy the park, but it is still relatively close to other attractions, such as Broadway, Times Square, Carnegie Hall, 5th Avenue, and the Rockefeller Center.
Price Check
The Mandarin Oriental usually charges prices of roughly €900 – €1,100 per night. Thanks to its 3-for-2 deal, however, the price currently drops to €637/night. The advantage of booking through ASMALLWORLD is that you get free breakfast, early & late check-in/out, a room upgrade, and US$100 (~€85) to spend at the hotel’s restaurants. Booking on Mandarin Oriental’s website, you’d only get to choose two of those benefits.

The price of €637 is also attractive if you compare it to other 5-star hotels nearby. The Park Hyatt New York, for instance, charges around €990 for its cheapest room with breakfast on the same dates.
