Rome ↔ Europe: Non-Stop Wizz Air Roundtrips Starting at €36 (Personal Item Only)

Wizz Air a320 neo

Flights to and from the Italian capital are usually not exactly cheap. Thanks to Wizz Air, however, you can currently get round-trip flights to and from all over Europe for less than €50. Prices start at €36 from Rome to Tirana, but round-trip trips to/from Madrid, Budapest, Paris, London, Barcelona, Porto, and Lisbon are also very cheap, among others.

The major downside is that only a personal item (i.e. a backpack) is included in the cheapest fare. Adding a carry-on or checked luggage will increase the total price by at least €40. In some cases, adding a 20 kg checked bag or cabin bag both ways can triple the ticket cost.

Wizz Air tickets include nothing more than a personal item, which is basically a backpack (40 x 30 x 20 cm). The cost of adding 20 kg of checked luggage varies by route and date, but you can usually expect prices of €35-40 in each direction. You should also make sure to check in online, as a checking in at the airport costs additional €40.

Availability varies depending on the route. For example, there’s generally excellent availability for flights to Tirana throughout the entire year. In contrast, flights from/to the Iberian Peninsula get more expensive in May.

Feel free to use Google Flights to search for availability. You should, however, definitely book the tickets directly on Wizz Air’s website, so you don’t overspend on luggage or seat reservation.

If you are planning to travel with a checked bag or cabin bag: Adding them separately to the base fare is usually cheaper than purchasing a bundle. Since Wizzair’s prices for such extravagant luxuries are dynamic, we recommend comparing them during the booking process.

Miles & Points

Wizz Air is a low-cost carrier, so the “nothing is included” part also applies to miles.
