The Ship
The MSC Lirica was commissioned in 2003 and measures 275 meters in length and 32 meters in width. With a gross tonnage of 65,500 and a capacity of up to 2,679 passengers, it is one of the smaller ships in the MSC fleet. There are 2 large outdoor pools, whirlpools, a jogging track, a theatre, a casino, a disco, a kids’ club, a spa, and various bars.
Following an extension in 2015, some standard balcony cabins have been converted into mini-suites with balconies. Additionally, a new aquapark has been added to the pool deck for children. Unfortunately, the common areas, especially the included restaurants, have not expanded proportionally, which can sometimes lead to longer wait times when the ship is fully booked. However, MSC offers two different dinner seating times.

The onboard language is English, and the onboard currency is the Euro. The ship was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France.
