Luckily, Star Alliance members have not yet introduced Light fares for routes to Asia. So, one piece of checked luggage will be included in the price of your ticket.

Departing from Paris, your trip will include a layover either in Munich or in Frankfurt. For its flights from Germany to Singapore, Lufthansa will operate an Airbus A350 or A380. Both aircraft have their own charm.

The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airplane ever. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be profitable for the airlines. Consequently, you might not get too many chances to be on board of this superjumbo. The A350, on the other hand, is the newest model that has left the French manufacturer’s plant. So it will give you an idea of what’s possible in commercial aviation nowadays.

All tickets will be issued in booking class K. As many of our readers will know, this will earn you close to nothing in terms of miles. Miles&More will get you some revenue-based award miles. United Airlines Mileage Plus and SAS EuroBonus are two other options to at least get an earning rate of 25%.
