The Queen Anne from Cunard entered service just last year, completing the quartet of the British cruise line alongside Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2, and Queen Victoria. At the end of April, you can embark on a cruise aboard Cunard’s newest ship, departing from and returning to Hamburg. A 10-night stay in an interior cabin starts at just €1,180 per person. Other options include ocean-view cabins for €1,680 and balcony cabins for €2,050 (each per person based on double occupancy).

The fare includes full board with all meals, gratuities, and the traditional British afternoon tea. Additionally, you can enjoy complimentary coffee, water, tea, and juices 24/7 at the beverage stations in the buffet restaurant. Cunard also offers a gala dinner and a welcome bottle of sparkling wine in your cabin.
Even though this cruise only visits destinations within the EU, Cunard requires you to bring a passport—an ID card is not sufficient.
This cruise takes place over Labour Day on May 1, allowing you to save a vacation day when booking this trip.
The Route
Your cruise starts in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. After leaving the port, the Queen Anne sails along the Elbe River into the North Sea, reaching the Danish capital, Copenhagen, after a day at sea. In Copenhagen, you can explore the picturesque Nyhavn canal with its historic sailing ships. Other highlights include the Little Mermaid statue and the famous Tivoli amusement park.
The next stop is Visby on the island of Gotland, where you can explore the medieval Hanseatic town on foot. The city is also known for hosting numerous festivals across various genres.
The journey continues to Estonia’s capital, Tallinn. One of the city’s most famous landmarks is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, built between 1894 and 1900. On a clear day, you might even catch a glimpse of the Finnish coast from Tallinn. The next destination is Helsinki, the capital of Finland, where the must-see attractions include the National Theatre and the Suomenlinna Fortress.
Heading south again, the itinerary includes a visit to Denmark’s second-largest city, Aarhus. In the city centre, you can visit the cathedral and the theatre. Just outside the city, you’ll find scenic beaches, castles, and forests, offering a perfect mix of urban life and natural relaxation. After 10 nights, the cruise concludes back in Hamburg.

The Ship
The Queen Anne is the latest addition to Cunard’s fleet. Built in 2024, the ship measures 322 meters in length and 35 meters in width, constructed at the Italian Fincantieri shipyard. It accommodates around 3,000 passengers and 1,225 crew members.
The ship’s name, Queen Anne, is a tribute to the British monarch who reigned from 1702 to 1714. Cunard has always emphasized a blend of classic style, tradition, and modernity—elements that are also evident on board Queen Anne. Much of the interior is designed in the Art Deco style.
The ship features four main restaurants and numerous additional dining options. These include pan-Asian cuisine, Indian specialities, traditional steaks at the steakhouse, classic British pub fare at the Golden Lion, and healthy choices at the Wellness Café. Speciality restaurants are available for an additional fee.

Numerous bars and lounges invite guests to relax with a cocktail. Evening entertainment includes shows at the Royal Court Theatre and live music or DJ sets at the Panorama Pool Club.
For fitness enthusiasts, the Queen Anne offers a gym and a jogging track, allowing guests to stay active before indulging in their next meal. The onboard wellness area (available for an additional fee) leaves nothing to be desired, featuring a steam bath, dry sauna, Himalayan salt sauna, cold room, experience showers, reflexology pools, thermal pool, and heated loungers.
The ship offers a variety of accommodation categories, including interior, ocean-view, and balcony cabins. Guests booking a Princess or Queens Grill Suite gain exclusive access to the Grills Terrace, which features two infinity whirlpools and cosy seating areas, providing a secluded retreat away from the ship’s public spaces.
