TUIfly uses a Boeing 787 for this route. It features a 3-3-3 seating pattern in economy with on-demand TV for everybody. The seats don’t have power outlets, so bring a power bank if you want to use your own devices during the nine-hour rides to Africa. The in-bound features a short stop in Mombasa, Kenya.
Most European citizens need a visa to enter Tanzania. As the process can take up to ten work days after applying, you should visit the Tanzanian visa portal in time.

Information & Tips for Zanzibar
Zanzibar, an island off the coast of Tanzania, is known for its historic Stone Town, spice farms, and white-sand beaches like those in Nungwi and Kendwa. The local currency is the Tanzanian shilling, though US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. Prices range from budget to mid-range, with meals and accommodations generally more affordable than in Western countries. The weather is tropical, with hot, humid conditions year-round; the driest months—and most popular for travel—are June to October.
Getting around Zanzibar can be a bit inconsistent. Within Stone Town, most places are walkable, but the narrow, winding streets can be confusing. For longer distances, dala-dalas (shared minibuses) are cheap but often crowded and unreliable. Taxis and private drivers are more comfortable but relatively expensive. Roads outside the main areas can be rough, and signage is limited, so renting a car is only recommended if you’re confident navigating on your own.
