Not quite sure if a cruise is right for you? A short cruise is a great way to find out. In October 2025, you can travel from Hamburg to Southampton in 3 days aboard the MSC Preziosa for just €83 per person in a balcony cabin. All meals and tips are included.
Do you have questions about the offer, need help, or are you looking for a cruise that suits you even better? Feel free to contact us via our inquiry form. We’re glad to help.

At MSC Cruises, the following services are already included in the standard fare:
- Full board with all meals in the main and buffet restaurants (speciality restaurants at an extra charge)
- Cold and hot water, coffee, tea, and milk are available throughout the day during buffet opening hours
- Gratuities

You can also pay €123 per night and get the Holiday Break Drinks package, that additionally includes classic cocktails, mixed drinks with house sprits, house wine, house beer, and non-alcoholic drinks (e.g. coffee, soft drinks, water, etc.). The surcharge of €20 per person and night can quickly pay off, especially if you like to drink alcoholic drinks.
Route
Your journey begins on October 5 at 6 PM in Hamburg. There are no stops along the way – it’s a direct sailing to Southampton, arriving on October 7 at 8 AM.
Here’s the exact itinerary:
Date | Location | Arrival | Departure |
---|---|---|---|
October 5 | Hamburg | 18:00 | |
October 6 | At sea 🌊 | ||
October 7 | Southampton | 08:00 |
To enter the UK, you’ll need a valid passport, and since April 2, 2025, most European citizens also require an ETA.
The Ship
The MSC Preziosa (Fantasia class) was built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, entered service in 2013, and was renovated in 2016. It is 38 meters wide, 333 meters long, has 18 decks, and accommodates nearly 3,500 passengers and 1,400 crew members.
There are 2 main restaurants and a buffet restaurant. The speciality restaurant Galaxy (extra charge) is highly recommended for its unique Asian fusion cuisine and great views of the ship and its surroundings. There are also 12 bars and lounges where you can enjoy beer, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks.

In addition to a spa and fitness area and a wide range of cultural and leisure activities, there’s also a 120-meter waterslide. A casino, cinema, basketball and tennis courts, outdoor jogging track, bowling alley, and four pools (one covered) provide plenty of entertainment.
The onboard language is English. The onboard currency is the euro. Interestingly, the ship was originally ordered by the Libyan government but was later sold to MSC. Cabins are at least 16 square meters in size and include a safe, air conditioning, a telephone, a TV, and a minibar.
