The room itself has a modern and clean and simple design, with a spacious and bath with a walk-in shower. From your balcony, you can enjoy the view on one of the resort’s seven pools and surrounding mountains.
LuxuryEscapes Cancellation Policy
LuxuryEscapes offers a rather complicated cancellation policy. It basically comes in three steps:
- Until 7 days after booking: You get a full refund in your original payment form. This is the last chance to get your money back.
- over 46 days before your stay: You can get a full refund in form of a LuxuryEscapes credit. You won’t get your money back, but can use it to book a different hotel on LuxuryEscapes.
- Less than 45 days before you stay: You won’t get a refund in any form if you cancel or no-show.
The Hotel
The Waters Kaho Lak resort is in the village center of Takua Pa, a one-hour drive away from Phuket airport. You can spend your days diving into the pool or strolling from the property to the beach, which is rougly 400 meters away. The village center with many small shops and restaurants is also just a short walk away. You’ll have drinking and dining options if you are tired of the free food on the hotel premises. The hotel itself features seven different pools, a restaurant, a pool bar and even a shop and laundromat onsite – although you will almost certainly pay less at the local shops outside the hotel.
Previous visitors have left reasonably good reviews of the hotel (e.g. 4.4/5 on Tripadvisor or 4.4/5 on Google). Guests praise the elaborate pool designs, as well as the variety and quality of the breakfast buffet. Many reviews from 2025 point out that some of the hotel’s rooms are kept in poor shape – and guests are occasionally pressured into purchasing upgrades to avoid these rooms. However, these complaints refer to the older Bay Wing of the hotel. The advertised rooms are located in the newer, Waters Wing.
Price Check
As mentioned earlier, LuxuryEscapes charges €499 €450 for seven nights including breakfast, lunch and other amenities – when using our discount code travelluxury10. In April 2026, the hotel charges THB 21,285 or €556 for the same room (including breakfast) on its website. So you’ll pay €100 less for the entire stay (or roughly €14 per night) when booking through LuxuryEscapes – while enjoying inclusions like a second hot meal per day, daily cocktails and four sixty-minutes massages.
For stays in 2025, you’d actually pay less when booking on the hotel website. During that time, the same room including breakfast is available for €374. Even when dining outside the resort and paying for the massages yourself, you will most likely pay less when booking with the hotel.
