ITA Volare: 2,000 Miles for Free

ITA Volare is definitely not a great frequent flyer program. Not only are miles redemptions generally unattractive, but the program’s days are also counted, as ITA is being integrated into the Lufthansa Group and its Miles&More program. Nevertheless, this promotion might pay off. Currently, you can basically get 2,000 miles for free. And while those miles are pretty worthless, it could be that they’ll be converted to Miles&More miles when the program ceases to exist.

Once you’ve logged into your ITA Volare account (or created a new one), you’ll be greeted by the following promotion:

Basically, the promotion states that if you update your personal info, you’ll get 2,000 points. Updating the info could not be easier. Simply subscribing to the ITA Newsletter and then instantly unsubscribing again is enough to earn you the miles.

While ITA states that it can take up to 60 days for the miles to be credited, we received the 2,000 miles instantly:

This promotion is valid until September 19, 2025. You can either change your address, gender, or email preferences. The latter is probably the easiest for most. The miles are only granted for the first change – you cannot keep changing your profile for more and more free miles. The promotion is valid for new and existing customers.

Conclusion

While ITA Volare promotions are usually quite worthless, this one stands out as it requires basically no effort. And if you’re lucky, those miles will convert to Miles&More miles someday. Fingers crossed.
