The next frequent flyer program facing devaluation is Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. While some Economy Class redemptions within Asia will become slightly cheaper, most other cabins will see increases of up to 20%. This marks the second KrisFlyer devaluation since 2022.
KrisFlyer has announced new redemption rates effective November 1, 2025. Additionally, Singapore Airlines will introduce dynamic award tickets and allow members to earn status credits from Kris+, the KrisFlyer Shop, and Pelago purchases.

Some short-haul flights within Asia and the Pacific will drop by around 5%, but long-haul routes (to/from Europe, the Middle East/Africa, and the U.S.) will increase.

Additional Changes
Singapore Airlines has also announced the following changes:
New Award Type: Access Awards
Starting November 1, 2025, any available seat on SQ flights can be booked with miles under a dynamic pricing model (based on demand, load factor, seasonality). SQ emphasizes these awards will be in addition to Saver and Advantage, not a replacement.
Status Miles via Non-Flight Spend
From September 1, 2025, members can earn status miles via:
- Kris+ (Dining & Shopping)
- KrisShop purchases
- Pelago experiences
- Earning rates: 1 status mile per 1 SGD (KrisFlyer) / 1 per 3 SGD (PPS Club)
Conclusion
The KrisFlyer devaluation is painful but relatively moderate compared to some other programs. With a 2+ month notice, members still have time to book under the current chart.
Also, many routes are already poor value—meaning the real-world impact is less severe than with Avios or Miles&More devaluations.
