The Ship
The Mein Schiff 2, launched in 2019, is one of the newer vessels in TUI Cruises’ fleet and closely follows the design of Mein Schiff 1. Built to carry around 2,900 passengers, it emphasises space and a calm atmosphere rather than a packed schedule of high-energy entertainment. Interiors are modern and understated, with clean lines, muted colours, and plenty of natural light, giving the ship more of a contemporary hotel feel than a flashy resort.
Wellness and relaxation are central to the ship’s concept. There’s a large spa complex, extensive fitness facilities, and a wraparound jogging track for active travellers. Multiple pools and whirlpools are complemented by quiet deck areas where passengers can read or enjoy the sea views without crowding.

Dining follows TUI’s all-inclusive model, meaning most restaurants and drinks are included in the fare. Guests can choose between buffet venues, sit-down restaurants, and speciality-style options without constant extra charges. Bars and lounges are spread throughout the ship, offering everything from casual poolside service to more refined indoor settings.
Cabins are light and spacious, with a high proportion featuring balconies. The passenger base is primarily German-speaking, but the onboard style is international enough that experienced cruisers from elsewhere will find it easy to settle in. Mein Schiff 2 is aimed at travellers who value personal space, quality dining, and a relaxed pace over flashy attractions or constant activity.
