The cruise price includes full board in the main and buffet restaurants, gratuities, as well as coffee, water, tea, and iced tea during the buffet’s opening hours. Route

Your journey begins in Barcelona. After a relaxing day at sea, you’ll reach Italy with stops in Civitavecchia (the port for Rome) and Genoa. Next, you’ll head to Marseille in France before enjoying another day at sea to explore the ship. The final leg of your journey includes two more Spanish ports, Alicante and Valencia, before you disembark back in Barcelona on Christmas morning.

The Ship

The MSC Magnifica was launched in 2010 (most recently renovated in 2021), measures 294 meters in length and 32 meters in width. The ship reaches a maximum speed of 23 knots. Accommodating approximately 2,500 passengers and 1,300 crew members, it features 13 decks. The MSC Magnifica was built at the STX France shipyard in Saint-Nazaire.

On board, there are five restaurants (e.g., Asian and Italian), 13 bars and lounges, three pools, a spa and wellness area, a jogging track, a casino, a theater, a cinema, a disco, a shopping promenade, a cigar lounge, and much more.

The onboard language is English, though on European routes, you will often find multilingual staff. The currency used on board is the Euro. Cabins are at least 13 square meters and come equipped with a safe, air conditioning, telephone, television, and a minibar.

Getting There & Back

You can find suitable flights to Barcelona, for instance from London, starting at around €100. Make sure to plan for enough buffer time before departure. If you are delayed, the ship will not wait for you.
