German travel vlogger David G. has recently invited Travel-Dealz’ English editor-in-chief Ditmar to a video interview. You can find the 20-minute-conversation (and many others of David’s adventures) on his YouTube page. For new visitors, it’s a convenient way to get to know what we do and how we do it. For long-time readers, it’s a rare opportunity to hear one of the guys behind this website – and see him in a much less than static version than you are used to.
Take a peak behind the scenes while Ditmar talks about searching deals, selecting the ones that make it to the homepage and shares some personal details on the best deal he ever booked.

If you find the time and are looking for more travel related content, we recommend checking out other videos on David G’s channel. When he asked us about an interview, we quickly realized that David’s approach to travel is very similar to ours. You will find down-to-earth, well researched videos with insightful tips – and none of the I’m Flying Business Class for Free and Here’s How You Can Do It scam.
Even professionals like us learned a thing or two during his videos. For example, his rental car guide is both beginner-friendly, but also gives useful advice to well-seasoned travellers – like using pick-up and drop-off times to your advantage. Just like the rest of his videos, the interview above is expertly cut and well paced. Overall, David G provides an entertaining watching (or listening) experience, while giving quality advice – whether you already are on the road, or preparing for your next trip.
