Overview of all Regent Hotels Worldwide

Regent Beijing Sign

Regent Hotels is a British-American luxury brand that has been part of IHG hotels since 2018. It’s fair to say that it’s IHG’s most luxurious brand. However, unlike other luxury brands, such as InterContinental and Kimpton, there are only a handful of Regent hotels in the world currently. To be precise, there are only 10. We thought it might be interesting to see where exactly those 10 Regent hotels are.

Here’s the list:

Hint

The Regent Hotel in Beijing often offers very good prices for reward stays, charging as little as 28,000 points per night. Sometimes even less, when there’s a sale. A very worthwhile use of IHG points.

Conclusion

A look at the prices reveals a very strange phenomenon: The cheapest Regent is located in Europe and the most expensive one is in Southeast Asia – usually it’s rather the other way around.

Overall, it’s a shame that the Regent Hotels’ presence has almost become exclusively limited to Asia, with hotels such as the Regent Berlin shutting down in the past years. There’s not a single Regent left in the US, despite the many famous properties they used to have, such as the Regent in Waikiki Beach or the Regent Beverly Wilshire (featured in the film Pretty Woman). Further expanding this Asia-trend, all nine planned new openings are also in Asia, with hotels planned in China, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Japan.
