SkyTeam member Air France brings us today a deal from Madrid and Barcelona to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam starting at just €897. This deal includes 2x 23kg checked luggage. Departures are scattered between August and November.
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to KLM with your selected flight dates.

First, you will have a feeder flight to Paris with Air France Airbus A220 with a 2-3 configuration. For your intercontinental flights, you will fly with Air France Boeing 777 with a 2-4-2 configuration in premium economy.
Air France’s Boeing 777 premium economy seats are infamous for being very hard to sleep in, which might become an issue on the overnight flight. Additionally, there is not much of a barrier to the person next to you, which might be bothersome when sitting next to a stranger.
Air France has two different types of premium economy seats. The seats in their Boeing planes do not recline in the conventional sense but instead slide forward. This can be a bonus, especially on a day-flight since you’re not disturbed by the person sitting in front of you. Tall passengers, however, have difficulties sleeping, as “reclining” leads to very limited leg room. The seats in Airbus A350 planes are better and are closer to the competition. Air France’s premium economy, however, has a major downside that has nothing to do with the seats: Furthermore, the service and catering are often disappointing.

Information & Tips for Vietnam
Vietnam offers a mix of vibrant cities, historic landmarks, and natural beauty—popular sights include Ha Long Bay, the old town of Hoi An, the Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi’s colonial architecture. The official currency is the Vietnamese dong (VND), and while prices are generally low compared to Western standards, tourist hotspots can be more expensive. Expect a tropical climate with hot, humid summers and a rainy season that varies by region—so packing accordingly is key.
Vietnam’s transport infrastructure is mixed—within cities, getting around is relatively easy thanks to widespread motorbike taxis and ride-hailing apps, though traffic can be chaotic and sidewalks crowded. Public buses exist but are often confusing for tourists. Between cities, options include budget airlines, trains, and long-distance buses; while not always fast or punctual, they are generally affordable and accessible with some planning.
