Star Alliance member Brussels Airlines currently offers an interesting deal from several Spanish airports to Dakar, Senegal. Roundtrips from Madrid are currently available for as little as €1,030. The price deserves some attention for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Brussels Airlines is one of only three European airlines that serves Dakar with lie-flat-seats in business class. Secondly, the ticket is worth 480 Miles&More Qualifying Points, that can only be obtained when flying with Miles&More member airlines. Sadly, a long minimum stay (8 days) is necessary to get the lowest fare.
Without an overnight layover, you can only fly from Madrid. If you are willing to spend a night Brussels on the outbound (or add another stop in Zurich), you can choose between more airports:
- Madrid at €1,030
- Malaga at €1,058 (overnight layover)
- Bilbao at €1,057 (overnight layover)
- Barcelona at €1,061 (overnight layover)
During the travel period, Iberia also offers non-stop round-trips from Madrid to Dakar for just €698 in business class. However, these are operated by Airbus A321 aircraft and European business class (=economy seating with a blocked middle seat and extra catering).
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates from Madrid at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Lufthansa with your selected flight dates.

All itineraries feature a change of planes in Brussels both ways. A Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 handles flights between Spain and Belgium, seeing you seated in European business class. Flights from Brussels to Dakar are Airbus A330 services, with lie-flat-seats in an alternating 2-1-2 and 1-2-1 seating pattern.
Most European citizens can enter Senegal visa-free for touristic travel of up to 90 days.
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, tickets are on sale without a sales or travel period. However, a hefty minimum stay of eight days in Senegal applies to get the cheapest tickets.
Google Flights helps you find additional flight dates. We recommend purchasing tickets directly on the airlines’ website. Since Brussels Airline’s website does not display fares correctly in all cases, it’s easier to choose its parent company, Lufthansa.
