If you’re heading to Miami between December and March, you may want to add a 4-night Bahamas cruise to your itinerary. Currently, there are plenty of cheap options on board the Carnival Conquest, starting at €211 / $225 per person for an outside cabin.
Carnival charges gratuities of US$16 (~€14) per person and per day. For 4 nights, that would mean an additional US$64 (~€55) per person for the entire cruise.

The Route
The exact route differs a bit from date to date, but usually you’ll depart from Miami, spend a day at sea, two days at the Bahamas, and then return directly to Miami.
The Ship
The Carnival Conquest, launched in 2002, is one of the earlier ships in Carnival’s Conquest class and carries just under 3,000 passengers. Though not one of the line’s newest vessels, it remains a staple in the fleet, offering a lively, straightforward cruise experience with a familiar Carnival atmosphere. The decor is colourful and slightly whimsical, reflecting the early 2000s design style the ship was built in, with art-themed touches throughout.
Public areas include several pools and hot tubs, a water slide, and a large outdoor movie screen, along with a theatre for live shows and comedy performances. There’s also a spa, fitness centre, casino, and a range of lounges and bars, from the lively atrium bar to quieter corners for evening drinks. The general tone is casual and energetic, appealing to passengers who enjoy a social, activity-filled cruise.

Dining options cover the usual Carnival mix: main dining rooms with multi-course dinners, a large buffet for casual meals, and popular additions like Guy’s Burger Joint and Blue Iguana Cantina. Speciality venues and room service are also available for a fee.

Cabins are functional and comfortable, ranging from inside rooms to suites, many with balconies. While the Conquest doesn’t have the latest high-tech features of newer ships, it delivers the essentials of Carnival’s “fun ship” experience: Plenty of food, entertainment, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere focused on easygoing enjoyment rather than formality.
