In April 2026, the Carnival Glory from Carnival Cruise Line will sail from Barcelona to Port Canaveral, Florida. Built in 2003 and set to go through a dry dock before the sailing, the ship offers a classic Fun Ship experience. You now have the chance to book this transatlantic crossing at a bargain price.
Typically, transatlantic cruises operate from Europe to the United States in the fall; however, in this case, due to the ship going into dry dock, you will have the opportunity to travel to Florida in the spring and enjoy a newly renovated cruise ship.
For a 13-night cruise in an inside cabin, you’ll pay just €535 per person – that’s just €41 per night! Oceanview cabins are also very affordable, starting at €711 and balcony cabins at €1,099 (each per person, based on double occupancy).

Route
Your cruise starts in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain. Before embarking in the afternoon, you can explore the Gothic Quarter, marvel at Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia, or stroll down the famous La Rambla. The Carnival Glory departs late, giving you time to explore the Catalan capital.
The journey continues along the Spanish coast with stops in Alicante, known for its beautiful beaches and the Santa Bárbara Castle, and Málaga, the birthplace of Picasso with a rich history and delicious Andalusian cuisine. The last European stop is the British territory of Gibraltar, where you can meet the famous Barbary macaques and enjoy stunning views from the top of the Rock.
Afterwards, eight sea days await you, which you can use to leisurely explore all the amenities on board the ship. Before reaching the US mainland, you’ll make a stop at Celebration Key, Carnival’s brand-new private destination in the Bahamas, for a perfect day of sun and relaxation. After 13 nights, the journey finally ends in Port Canaveral, near Orlando, Florida.

Getting Back
After arriving in Florida and perhaps enjoying a multi-day trip to Orlando’s theme parks or the Kennedy Space Center, it’s time for the return flight. The nearest major airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO). We recommend leaving a couple of days as a buffer from the arrival date in case there is a delay on the crossing.
Here are some options with checked luggage to comeback to Europe on April 27:
- London with Norse at €256 (non-stop)
- Amsterdam with JetBlue at €363
- Madrid with Delta at €432
- Dublin with Aer Lingus at €457 (non-stop)
If you want to come back to Europe by ship, the Carnival Legend is departing for England on May 24 and arriving in Dover on June 7, starting at €984 per person for an interior cabin.

Please refrain from telling people that they can “adjust” (scrap) the daily service charge at guest relations.
You can, but you shouldn’t.
