Last Minute: 8-Night Caribbean Cruise from New York for Only €380 / $443 pp

Turks and Caicos

The Carnival Venezia – a Venice-themed cruise ship – will depart from New York in September 2025 on a Caribbean cruise, and right now you can secure this last-minute 8-night sailing for under €400 per person. Fares start at just €47 (~US$55) per night in the cheapest inside cabin, including food and entertainment. Rarely do departures from New York City drop this low.

Alternatively, you may want to look at higher categories, since ocean view cabins from €415 and balcony cabins from €537 (each per person based on double occupancy) are also quite affordable.

Warning

Carnival automatically charges a crew gratuity of US$16 (~€14) per person, per day to your onboard account. If you do not agree with this, you can request an adjustment or removal of the amount at the reception desk.

The following services are already included in this ridiculously cheap €380 (~US$445) fare:

  • All meals at the main dining room and buffet restaurant
  • Coffee, water, tea, and iced tea during buffet opening hours
  • Entertainment program and onboard events
  • Complimentary room service breakfast (06:00–10:00)

The Route

The itinerary depends on the exact date that you decide to book:

Either way, you’ll always head from New York to Half Moon Cay and Cockburn Town (Turks and Caicos Islands). The September 2 cruise, however, starts with a stop in Celebration Key, while the September 10 cruise sails to Nassau instead. Both cruises again end in New York.

The Ship

The Carnival Venezia, originally built for Costa Cruises in 2019 and later transferred to Carnival Cruise Line, stands out in the fleet with its Italian-inspired design. Unlike Carnival’s purpose-built ships, the Venezia retains many features from her Costa origins, giving her a slightly different atmosphere that blends Carnival’s casual, high-energy style with Mediterranean decor and touches of Venetian flair.

Carrying just over 4,200 passengers, the ship is large but not the newest or flashiest in Carnival’s fleet. Public spaces include multiple pools and whirlpools, a water park, and sports facilities alongside bars, lounges, and entertainment venues. The main theatre hosts shows in Carnival’s usual lively style, while smaller venues offer comedy, live music, and themed events.

Dining reflects Carnival’s focus on variety, with main dining rooms, a buffet, and a range of casual eateries like Guy’s Burger Joint and speciality restaurants for an extra charge. The Venezia also introduces Carnival’s “Fun Italian Style” concept, adding Italian-inspired menus and decor to the mix.

Cabins range from interior staterooms to suites, many with balconies, and the design leans more toward Costa’s European influence than Carnival’s usual American style. For travellers familiar with Carnival, the Venezia offers something a little different: a familiar atmosphere of casual fun, wrapped in a ship with a distinctive heritage and aesthetic.
