In March 2025, the Celebrity Eclipse from the US-based Celebrity Cruises will embark on a transatlantic cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton. This journey is currently available at attractive booking rates, with inside cabins starting at €598 per person. Highly recommended are the outside cabins starting at €754 and balcony cabins starting at €772 (per person based on double occupancy).
The correct price is displayed in the second booking step.

All mentioned prices include all meals in the main and buffet restaurants, as well as coffee, water, tea, and iced tea.
At Celebrity Cruises, gratuities are not automatically charged to your onboard account. You can choose the amount you want to tip for good service on board. Alternatively, you can prepay the gratuities in euros.
The Route
The cruise starts in the Sunshine State of Florida, specifically in Fort Lauderdale. The first stop is King’s Wharf in Bermuda. Then the Celebrity Eclipse begins the great Atlantic crossing, giving you four sea days. You can use this time to explore the numerous attractions on board or simply relax on the sun deck.
The next stop is Ponta Delgada, the capital of the Azores. Here, you can stroll through lovely parks and enjoy the small streets and squares. After three more days at sea, the Celebrity Eclipse reaches its final destination, the port of Southampton in southern Great Britain.
Here’s the detailed itinerary:
- March 22: Fort Lauderdale (departs at 15:30)
- March 23 – 24: At sea
- March 25: Ireland Island, Bermuda (8:00 – 16:00)
- March 26 – 29: At sea
- March 30: São Miguel, Azores (9:00 – 18:00)
- March 31 – April 2: At sea
- April 3: Southampton (arrives at 6:00)
The Ship
The Celebrity Eclipse is the third ship of the Solstice class. Delivered to Celebrity Cruises in 2010 by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, it measures 315 meters in length and 37 meters in width. With double occupancy, it can accommodate 2,850 passengers and 1,271 crew members on board.
Technically, the ship is equipped with pod propulsion, which significantly reduces vibrations on board and guarantees high manoeuvrability in port. The maximum speed of 24 knots is not reached during normal operation.
The Solstice class is elegant without being ostentatious. There are many lovely retreats on board and a large lawn area on the upper deck for relaxation. The food selection and quality are excellent, and the service is casual yet exceptionally organized.
The ship’s design is spacious and of high quality. The pool area consists of a larger outdoor section and a covered solarium with two whirlpools and a swimming pool. Speciality restaurants can be found both in the lawn area on the upper deck (The Lawn Club) and at the stern of the entertainment deck.

Flights
Europeans will need a flight to the US before the cruise, and Americans will need a flight back home after the cruise. Either way, the flights are not included. Often, flights to Miami will be quite a bit cheaper than flights to Fort Lauderdale. Here are some examples of what you’d currently pay to cross the Atlantic, including luggage:
Before the cruise:
- Berlin – Miami: €330 with Norse
- Barcelona – Miami: €312 with Level
After the cruise:
- Barcelona – Miami: €266 with Royal Air Maroc
- Paris – New York: €327 with Norse
Prices can still change quite a bit until then, but this should give you a rough idea of what to expect. Feel free to use our search form to see how much flights from/to your city would currently cost:
