In 1972, Air France needed a reliable hotel brand where it could send its crews and passengers – hotels that would meet European standards. And so they created the Le Méridien hotels, and within a few years, they had hotels in Africa, the French Antilles, Canada, South America, the Middle East, and Mauritius. A lot has happened since then, the latest developments being their acquisition by Starwood Hotels in 2005, and then by Marriott in 2016. And until this day, they stand for a reliable 4-to-5-star standard. But where can you get this standard for as little money as possible? That’s what we wanted find out, and so, here’s the list:

Conclusion
If you’re looking for a cheap Le Méridien, your best bet is to travel eastwards. While there’s only 1 cheap hotel in Europe and also only 1 cheap hotel in the US, there are plenty of cheap hotels in India, China and especially Southeast Asia. Overall, this list has turned out to be much cheaper than many previous lists we’ve made of other hotel brands. And while Le Méridien isn’t the ultra luxurious brand, finding 11 hotels under €90, many of them costing around €60, there’s some great value-for-money on this list.
